walee waa shame iyo nus, i am very disappointed by this , here i am livivng in the west with the ambition to move back to my country in the future and i may be facing with this when i reach home. i hope this doest take off these are just the so called dhaqan celis who are there for the summer only. the hotel owner may be aware of what i am saying but money rules so he wont say no to their custom, but the elders of the community should be aware of what is going on and confront this potential grave problem. even though i lived in the west most of my life, i am a hardcore traditionalist and this touches a nerve. I am not saying i am party pooper, it is just the manner it is being done in, ie the trash of the west is making its way here. There are many ways to enjoy a party but this is NOT one of them.

reer somaliland , STOMP IT OUT!.

Waa la baashaala noo, why be so uptight? Siiil waa Siiil, the only difference is how you catch it. If this type of Ciyaal Suuqnimo work then why not

The forms of entertainment we somalis excel at revolve at the theater and its derivatives, look at the videos from the 70s and 80s and how the people were enjoying their time in a decent manner. the majaajiloyin were not only funny but also had messages to take home from, unlike this rapper wannabees. before anyone says there was negatives in the 80s and 70s, yes there were, bars were open in those times, BUT the key defference here is that this form of entertainment is not our type, we have our own culture and ways to have fun, unfortunately nothing is being done to ramp up support them. I hope i am wrong as i have not visited the country for 12 years and that this is just a minority, but as we all probably know this type of subculture is spreading around the world very fast and even starting to enter hardcore asian communities in india that friend told me about.

Sorry in advance if i have offended anyone, but these are views. Over. :sland:

not big deal really punch of teenagers doing their teenager rap-fan . The only problem i have with it is it should be in the open and above ground , let them have fun big deal and let them try to do that in somali. I rather have this then punch of Arab wanna bes, with their long beard and Arab Kofia talking about Arab struggle...

These guys dressed in that matter just like you and me today dress in pants and jeans , it doesn't mean they were al-shabaab like and trying to apply the latest Shariiica hand chopping machine and eat the latest Arab falaafil and watch al-jaziira.

so you're condoning jamaican/african american dhaqancelis wannabes who are misleading the youth back home, into clubs and weed/alchohol. Whereas you are against extreme takfiri muslims like alshabab who are not even present in somaliland.

We live in a world culture , from Japan to Newzland kids love this culture amd music , there is nothing you or any nut case can do about . What am saying is simply that they are better off been like the rest of world teenagers then take xizbullah Culture and marry 4 Xijaabis and talk Arabic and live in Arab Jihaadi politics and name their childern Khaalid the lion eater , and Salaax Diin and blow an elevator.

I myeslef was like that from 1991-2000, had my pony tail too , big deal and am a hard core habar yoonis as they come now.

xplaya, i know where this topic is heading let's agree to disagree we both hold different religious views. Just remember SL is a muslim country and these arabs you keep mentioning well our Qur'aan was brought down in arabic and so was our beloved prophet (SCW) he was an arab. They are no different to other muslims.
