One of the major projects underway there currently is the long over 160 km road that connects the central areas to Hargeysa and Burco. They just need to finish it off,
the rest will take care of itself.

Now let's get into farming.Oodweyne is also popular for irrigated farming. It doesn't have rivers but it sure has nice soil perfect for growing crops. :whew:

Another initiative that has proved successful in Gatiitiley is dry-land farming. With drought-resistant crops introduced from Kenya, fields of maize and
sorghum can be harvested after just two and a half months, as opposed to the four months that are required for traditional varieties. This means that farmers
can adapt to shorter and more erratic rainy seasons, and can produce healthier crops more quickly, that build their income, increase the family’s nutritional
intake, and improve the health of their livestock.

Khat chewers should be whipped. Why chew and sit somewhere doing nothing when you can make your land like Gatiitiley below and let those crops provide enough
Income for yourself, your family, community and nourishment for your livestock.
