the Arab and Ciidagale have failed to defend the empire :mindblown:

http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead.aspx

1- in the country enter somali/somaliland.

2- in the Addtional Information enter the tribe ( eglish spellings )

couldn't find the correct colonial spelling of the Warsangali and Gedabursi yet.. their list is comming.

AUN to all of them. Xplaya, the Dhulbahante on this site are mostly clueless kids in their teens and early twenties.

My paternal grandfather (AUN) was a WWI veteran. He was a Chief Inspector with the Royal Navy. He spent over twenty years with the Royal Navy.

I will say 75% of the HY were Musa Caare (AKA Ingriis Caare). And 90% of the HJ were Uduruxmiin, Aden Modoobe and Yeesif.

I noticed that clans like Sacad Yoonis and Muse Carre of Habar Yoonis and Yeesif, Aadan Madoobe and Uduruxmiin of the Habar Jeclo were more civilized during the first world war than some Somalis a century later. How come?

Not all sacad muse, just the nuux ismaaciil, and add the sacad yoonis to the list they were all more civilized due to their connection with Aden, Yemen begining from the 1800's.

The Uduruxmiin, Yeesif and Aadan Madoobe were clans that lived on the coast. The Yeesif and Aadan Madoobe lived in the coastal area from Berbera to Karin. The Uduruxmiin were in Xiis. It made it easier for them to get to know the British.
The Musa Caare were the most powerful sub clan in British Somaliland. Their nickname was Ingriis Caare. They held most of the high ranking positions in the District Commission offices.
