its normal Sudan was divided Ethiopia was divided
And the former Somali republic is also being officially divided

Sudan and South Sudan were completely different anyways... Different ethnic groups, religion, language, culture, etc... But Somaliland issue of recognition is just plain stupid... Somalia and Somaliland - Same language, culture, same religion, etc.... Only thing different is Qabil...
