Khatuumo is in danger of joining Somaliland

Postby SecretAgent » Mon May 13, 2013 3:04 pm

Why is Khatuumo campaigning for a united Somalia rather than not worrying and campaigning only for their own clan borders to stay with Somalia? This is counterproductive. They are also thinking about Awdal and the Isaaqs. This will end up threatening their existence. Ironically, they need emphasize a pro-Somaliland independence stance but at the same time only campaign for their own clan borders to stay with Somalia. This will end the disputes much quicker if they changed their tactics.

Somalia and Somaliland will see opportunities of these mistakes being made by Khatuumo. They will see it as working towards their favor. Somalia doesn't want to deal with too many entities and Somaliland will see it as an opportunity to control the entire British Somaliland border. They will see it as desperation from Khatuumo. So what will eventually happen is that Somalia will tell Khatuumo if you want to stay with Somalia, you must disband and join Somaliland. Somalia and Somaliland will agree to a 2 state union but with a referendum within 10-15 years. A referendum will occur and the majority will want succession and Khatuumo is gone with Somaliland.

Khatuumo needs to drop this united Somalia message if they want to stay with Somalia. They will need to only think about their own clan borders staying with Somalia and be content with Somaliland separating if they wish to stay with Somalia. Otherwise, Khatuumo is in grave danger.

they are doing us a great favour by having this myopic view.
if they took any other path and swallowed their pride they would have caused somaliland trouble of an order of magnitude higher than now.
we would be demanding that they leave somaliland, and even offering to pay them money to leave.

but yes what posted is the likely scenario, and its too late for reer khatumo to change track.

thank you !!
