If it's that easy to grow a forest what's this calaacal from liberal morons about global warming and shit. I think you're forgetting indias monsoon heavy rain seasons.

theoretically you can do what he does in somalia for example.
there are allot of dry river beds , togs that have seosonal floods. if you plant saplings right after the rains , it will grow big enough to take advantage of the next rains.
if you choose the right location and terrain and the right plants.

The areas I am referring to mostly have solonchak soil type (high salt content) other then finding a reliable water supply I will have to find
forest trees that can thrive in those type of soils. It won't be as easy as Assam state in India, but it can be done.
