If Isaaq dominates SL its because we outnumber the other inhabitants of SL by far even on sub clan level however a man who's not Isaaq (your uncle) was the president of SL for 8 years after a democratic election and that shows the democratic nature of SL.

Isaaq are the largest clan in SL historically and present. The second largest clan which is your Gudobiiris doesn't even outnumber the 4 largest Isaaq sub clans respectively.


Even historically in British Somaliland during the elections in late 50's. The SNL (Isaaq) and NUF (Isaaq) got more votes respectively than USP (Gudobiiris, Ciise, Warsangeli, Dhulbahante)

If Isaaq didn't want a union given the fact that we outnumber all the other clans living there on sub clan level, there wouldn't have been a union with Somalia. On the flip side if Isaaq wanted a union and the other clans didn't, there would have been a union with Somalia.
