yeah the only thing the diaspora is good at is causing trouble in SL.
They should stick to just sending cash to their relatives and have no say on the political process.

most of them aint educated and are sitting in café 24/7. I would be worried if these ppl have influence in sl politics.

Kulmiye in 2003 had the Issaaq completely divided even back than hard core Members like Abdurahman tolkwaa abduramana talyaani and dhagoweyne were all Kulmiye members they brought their constituencies. keep in mind. Between Udub all 4 major isaaq clans supported all udub and Kulmiye and ucid finished 3rd But in 2015 it will be different each Major Habar will have a presidential candidate , thats the difference back in 2003. An Ciidagale candidate Ucid a Samaroon president candidate with a wider isaaq alliance from ciise muse HY and some sacad muse , And kulmiye the entire HJ with sacad muse some hy and arab and even the Makahil sub clans jibriel yoonis of abdurahman toolwa supporting it.. 2015 will be different Wadani led by a HY candidate with a samarooon vp . And Habar awal candidate on ucid with a Ciidagalle and gadabuursi alliance and Ofcourse the HJ with Siilaanyo the situation is different 2003 is different from 2010 and 2010 will be different from 2015

Somaliland politics is all based on alliances between various clans these alliances swift based on which candidate runs or the grievances others or the charismatic leadership and ofcourse the fundings the party gets from the clans that support the party there are always strong pillars between a party Ucid is neither an ciidagale party nor habar awal , the same way kulmiye is not a hj or sacad muse party or Arab , the same way wadani is not HY party , its all about the alliances and convincing the rest of the SL party. I actually i have allot of respect for president Ahmed Mahamuud Siilaanyo as a man he is a dignified person and deserves the respect of all people of Somaliland he has done a great job, but we have to move from that point and we need a young energetic president like Jamaal for the next 5 years. I say governments come and go Somaliland remains we have to add something to Somaliland Kulmiye is much and is much better than udub 8 years rayaale. But we can do much better to and we need new leadership.

Faisal is the chairman the presidential candidate is Jamaal if jamaal wins the president is jamaal recognized by the SL constitution that is what matters with all its duties Faisal is a smart man he knows that SL people will not elect him so he made an alliance with Jamaal which is very smart move.

2015 election is going to be very interesting. If Silanyo and Bihi both choose to be presidential candidates the Cirro and Silanyo would be favorites because Silanyo would get all the Habar Jeclo votes, Irro would get all the Habar Yoonis votes. So the Habar Awal would be split between Jamal getting the Cisse Muse and Cidagelle votes and Bihi getting the Sacad Muse votes. The easiest way to win the vote would be to get to Habros united, because we all know the 3 habros have the largest population.
But as all 3 Habros are running for presidency its going to be close. If Bihi however does not stand for power and remains in Kulmiye then I think Kulmiye would win again. But over I think its an open vote anybody could win, so we cant really be certain. But I think 1 think people should bare in mind is the fact the because the vote is going to be so tight the other tribes are going to be the ones to make the difference. That includes the Gudabeersi, Cisse, Arap, Toljeclo, Ayub, Warsengeli and Dhulbahante. I don't undrestand why all 3 parties have sellected a Gudabeersi Vice President, a better choice would be to have someone else from another tribe. But thats them.

Anyways its going to be intresting, so I am planning to go backhome just to place a vote.
