hawdian xaqbuu u leeyahay inuu u doodo difaaca nileka, 30 million oo soomaali ahbaa ka faa, iidsyanaya laydh jaban hadii ethiopia ku guulaysato hirgelinta mashruucaas. hadadadaa aan wax qorayo waxa ka faaiidaystay in ka badan 7 million oo soomaali ah KILILKA JABUUTI, somaliland na way ku xigtaa. hadii egypt ku gulaysato joojinta mashruucaas waa kuma soomaaliga wax ka faa, iidayaa ? aduunyadu diin iyo isir kuma shaqaysyo its all about interest, waa waajib saaran wadamada geeska afrika iyo shucuubtooduba inay ethiopia ku taageeraan hirgelinta mashruucaas.
Nonsense and as I've said before I don't give two fucks about Egypt markaa diintan iyo isirkan aad ka hadleysaa halkaad ka keentey? Somaliland waxaad u horseedeysaan dadkiinan bakhtigaa gumeysi cusub, hadey gashana aaney weligeed ka baxeyn.

Anigu waxan ka hadlayaa oo keliya mashruucaas laydhka lagaga dhalinayo webiga nileka, waa xaqiiq in danteenu ku jirto haday ethiopia hirgeliso, laakiin waxyaabaha kale ee hawdian meelahan ku xarxariiqo kuma raacsani kamana xumi haduu ethiopianimadiisa ku qanacsanyahay, maanagaa suudaanta keenay kkk hawd iyo wixii degenba waa waa amxaaro ehelkood, maaha in lagu qadhqadho hadii isaaq dabaqoodhiya la arko. aduunyada waxa u daran nimaan kuna xoraynayn afxumana kula daba socda. daaya ninku gurumgaramtiisa ha watee.

We have to invest in renewable energy now while we can. If we become dependent on cheap electricity from a neighboring country we won't develop our own electricity sector and we'll be dependent forever.
You have to understand reality. This a country that doesn't even have something as simple and ubiquitous as tailors or a proper airport runway, who has the know-how to construct solar-plants and wind-farms? Are we gonna beg again? That is also assuming that we can extract the energy we need efficiently. We have coal and most likely gas and oil as well. Let's use them up first.

do you need to build your own diesel engine before you can use it?
why cant you buy your wind turbine, its the same concept.

we dont have petrol yet, but we already have wind power, we should use it.
But you still need the expertise to properly run, maintain and repair/upgrade it. To use another analogy, it's like buying brand-new russian fighter jets and nobody knowing how to pilot, maintain and upgrade parts.

What is you opinion on relying on the ethiopians for electricity? I have mixed feelings. I don't want to rely on a neighbour for something as crucial as power-supply, much less the xabashis. But at the same time if they can provide cheap and reliable electricity it would be just what we need for factories and plants.

Somalidu waxay tidha "Dhar aanad laheyn dhaxan kaama celiso". Somaliland uma baahna mashruuca leydhka ee Itoobiya laga hirgelineyo, dantayada kuma jirto in wadan kale "leverage" nugu yeesho.

Hawdian seems like a bright lad but who needs constant huge controversies to attract attention. You guys need to treat him like his homeboy Timocase and ignore the stuff&nonsense he writes on Snet. Don't take it personal read it laugh and move along to even considered correcting his flawed logic would only encourage him. His a nice Isaaq lad who wants to be a slave to the Ethiopians, lets wish him well.

Hawdian is a free thinking man who doesn't have a chip on his shoulder.
He speaks his mind and doesn't have a boy scout mentally nor does he follow the herd...

and as for Ethiopia..

Ethiopians are million times more closer to us than those goat fuckers who only seem to remember Somalis whenever they feel Ethiopia is using more than their fair share of "their precious Nile"

Djibouti and Ethiopia are making plans to develop geothermal power capacities in a bid to meet the rising demand for electricity.

Fuck Egypt

Its the same argument with power stations!!! are you saying we should not build power station gas fired or deisel because we do not know how to maintain them? does Ethiopia have the knowhow to repair and maintain power stations? no they dont.

Wind turbines are the same but simpler, you replace parts when they are worn out, the replacement of parts can be done by trained somali technicians its not quantum physics or nuerosurgery .

There are farmers who have their own turbines that do this, are you saying we cannot ?

I am against the ethiopian power imports in the shorterm but ia m for them in the future.
Our immediate power needs for our un-industrialized economy can be easily covered by windpower and supported by the current system of diesel power farms. Once we are building factories and urbanizing more we will need more power and this is where the ethiopians come in,

Fair enough. Tbh though SL climate is perfect for wind and solar energy. It's the two things we have in abundance. However, once we've reached levels of self-sufficency, surely we'll have the capital and know-how to extract fossil fuels (If we have any). What I mean is, the reason I'd suggested wind and solar was because with these we can build small chemical, cement, ferrous and non-ferrous factories and refineries that run 24 hours. If we can build those and improve infrastructure, we can extract minerals and metals as well as oil and coal.
