best players used to be isaaq in the former Somali republic. Hargeisa used to win a lot while darood didn't even exist back then. Plus coach or captain don't matter in football as it is reserved for experienced players however isaaq strikers would be famous

It's a legitimate question though. When it comes to major sporting events like the World Cup, would Somalis put aside political differences to support one another out of Somalinimo, or would we stay divided? I would hope that they will, but the current generation of Somalis are becoming more and more polarized, so idk

Actually the best players used to come from Isaaq and Dir back in the days when forced Somali Republic used to exist. Those Isaaq came from Togdheer while the Dir came from Lower Jubba. Basically the top teams were Togdheer and Jubbas. It is a known fact.
