Let's say Somalia qualified for the World Cup, as a Somalilander would you support their bid to win the championship?

I would only support it depending of how many players are Isaq.
Out of the 11 players on the field if there is at least 9 isaq then yes.

If not, its...go Israel. :up:

Ps..Stupid Q deserve... :)

If Somalia was in the world cup;

-Isaaq players would refuse the coaches orders and walk out in protest.
- Mjay players would score own goals to let the rival team win.
- OG players would waste time celebrating goals doing dhaanto and not realising they're losing 3-1.
- HG players would take Somalia past the group stages but fight with other teams and get half the squad sent off.
-Shiiqaal players would refuse to play because of the alcohol being brought into the stadiums.
- Raxanweyn players would be unable to play for not having football boots.
- Jareer players would be just like Nigerians, crazily strong but no tactical awareness.
- Cadcad players would get injured left, right and centre.

You need a team of Abgaals, Murusades, Mareexaans, etc i.e. the fair Somali to get far :up:

Isaaq wouldn't entertain the idea of an all somali team. Cuz they know they wouldnt get the coach or the captain.. the bus driver position is up for grabs though

best players used to be isaaq in the former Somali republic. Hargeisa used to win a lot while darood didn't even exist back then. Plus coach or captain don't matter in football as it is reserved for experienced players however isaaq strikers would be famous

It's a legitimate question though. When it comes to major sporting events like the World Cup, would Somalis put aside political differences to support one another out of Somalinimo, or would we stay divided? I would hope that they will, but the current generation of Somalis are becoming more and more polarized, so idk :|

Actually the best players used to come from Isaaq and Dir back in the days when forced Somali Republic used to exist. Those Isaaq came from Togdheer while the Dir came from Lower Jubba. Basically the top teams were Togdheer and Jubbas. It is a known fact.

1977 squad (majority from Togdheer and Jubbas with few Banadiris):
