Da hells with all you lot asking that Question. I don't have a previous nick in the sense of someone y'all know. I made a account, never posted and then decided to post before I got back to SL and made a new one. My IP is tied to only two accounts.

Now Shut the hell up with this and don't quote my question if you aint gonna answer it, I ain't got time to be making a new account and acting like someone else. There used to be elephants in SL. The last one in Maroodi Jeex region was shot outside Hargeysa in 1954 while the rest were extinct throughout the country by mid 60's.


If you read what explorers like col. Swayne wrote 100 years ago you'll realize that Somaliland was a different place. He mentions that outside the ancient port city of Berbera, hordes of elephants numbering up to 150 were roaming on the plains.

Not to mention the hinterland. It was infested with lions, leopards, black rhinos.

When I read the shit he wrote I realized that my grand parents and great grandparents were living in paradise. My great grandfather was known for killing lions using his horse and spear.

It's a shame what our country has become, in all aspects , things will change though.

A Damn Shame... I wish I could slap many people back home.

We need a anti-desertification plan, a planting tree plan, a Re-Introduction of several speicies like the elephant plan, a Community driven pavement and road building plan, a cleaning rubish plan and more.

I want SL to be CLEAN like Rwanda, and full of life. I mean brazil had a species of tree with fruits that man doesnt eat. It grows quick. Use that, use its fruits and leaves as camel fodder and the tree to help against desertification.

Also plant back Accica trees, as thats our tree in savanahs. Now Barawaqo's look worse than ever.

I think the biggest assets on the forum concerning Somaliland are gurey25 and Salah Al-Din. I am on the fence about X.playa. For now I think he maybe an asset
Anyways, I mentioned these people because they contribute a lot of useful information concerning Somaliland and other topics. It would be nice if they posted more frequently but I understand that they have lives.
