Sayid Ahmed Abdi Godane

Postby Hawdian » Mon Sep 08, 2014 10:19 pm

To some he was a terrorist leader and to some he was a freedom fighter and to others he was a tribal leader. All I can say is that Sayid Ahmed Abdi Godane is the Isaac version of Darood's 19th century Sayid Abdulla Hassan (The Mad Mullah of Somaliland). Both the Dervishes and the Al Shabab share many hallmarks in common. The only difference is the weapon used due to availabilities. In the days of the Mad Mullah horses, boys & arrows and rifles were available to certain degree. Today, explosives and suicide are the go to weapon for many modern day rebels, freedom fighters and designated groups.

Sayid Abdulla Hassan's dervishes were a splitter group of the original Dervishes of Mohammad Ahmed (the so called Mahdi of Sudan). Likewise, Sayid Godane's al Shabab are splitter group of Osama Bin Laden's original Al Qaeda. Osama was inspired by the Mahdi of Sudan and built his ideology on the same principles as the Mahdi. He, however, did not declare himself as "The Mahdi" like the Mad Mullah of Sudan. Godane was inspired by Bin Laden and even ina Abdulle Hassan.

The Dervishes of Sudan and al Qaeda were one and the same thing and the only difference was time.

Originally, Dervish movement was born in Persia (Iran) in the 1870s and almost a decade later it made its way into Ottoman society before arriving in Egypt then Sudan in 1880s. Years later ina Abdulle discovered the ideology during his Hajj tours to Makkah and returned to Somaliland with the mad ideology.

We can say that Sayid Ahmed Abdi Godane is the Isaac Sayid Abdullah Hassan and so if Daroods claim that the Mad Mullah was freedom fighter then Isaac should equally promote Sayid Godane as a freedom fighter. After all Sayid Godane had more success freeing his citizens more than the failed Abdullah Hassan. 120 years on and his Ogaden remain under 2 Tigraian generals. They take turns serving tea and dhaanto. Where as Godane was able to flush out the Tigraian Woyane forces from Mogadishu and much of the south.

Equally unlike the coward Mad Mullah, Godane died in the land he was fighting to free and will be buried there. No one knows where ina Abdullah Hassan is buried and his daughters became the subjects of Galla (Oromo) warriors.

While we disagree with Sayid Godane's tactics or even getting involved in the wars of foreign lands such as famine Somalia, we can declare that Sayid Godane was a freedom fighter.

Finally, we can say that while ina Abdulla is the Mad Mullah of Somaliland, Sayid Godane is the Mad Mullah of Somalia.

They were exactly the same. The only difference was Sayid Abdulle hassan of Somaliland was a great poet but a coward who ended up running at the end even though there were no high tech drones chasing him   . Sayid ina Godane of Somalia on the other hand, was a fake poet but a brave bastard who never backed of even though surrounded by enemies on all fronts and his every move was being watched. And even though he proved to be underachiever so far as poetry was concerned, he died like a man, and his death was more widely reported than that of the fuley but talented mad mullah of Somaliland  .

LoL that's rich coming from a Qaldaan dude who praises Ethiopians in every other breath. Godane is in Jahanamma, forget about him.

If I remember it correctly, the Sayid had a Taalo right smack in the middle of Mogtown, ur Godane, not so much.

Sxbkeey, why don't you go back to Ethiopia and do dhaanto with the Cagdheers. You really aren't wanted here, but you could always try it....

Gamer,

You can always hit the report button like the rest of your relatives who keep crashing Somalinet every time they see my username. The Habesha and my grandfather both did the Sayid Abdulla Hassan and his crew together. So I have right to support a unity nation with them after all we put down a common enemy and keeping that enemy in shackles is the only right thing to do.

We will enjoy their dhaanto and tea after all they gave up after wasting 120 years in the jungles. ONLF celebrated 30 years the other day and they don't have a single village to show for. Can't be more failed than Cagdheer.

Yourself you are no better. General Sanweyne from Uganda is getting fresh ceeb in your yard for one apple.

If an apple can get you ceeb in Wanlawein, I assume the stem of an apple will get you some good niiko.

you can't compare the mad idoor of baraawe to Sayid Abdalla Hassan, godane the mad idoor was a coward who also ran away from several district from west african foot soldiers, he was a snitch afterall giving information of al shabaab then ending up getting his ass droned when he was used and abused for couple of years, you cannot compare an idoor to an historic darood leader who was fighting two colonial powers and their askaris.

When we're talking about niiko... well.. Somaliland is in one of the top list Image

Tea boy marsinQorahay,

If your awoowe was half as brave as Sayid Godane, you would not be French kissing other men from newspaper after 120 years of no fruit.

Tea - more sugar and more sugar
Dhaanto - 24/7 entertain the master
Camel milk - the only way to make a living

Three terms that define Africa's longest held slave.

Subxaanaka ya cadiim, the low IQ cagdheer Tigrai slave is flooding the forum with the same clip of Bantus from Pennsylvania who wish to thank Dahabshiil for funding their wedding.

Naaya MarsinQorahay in the normal world Mulakulmood takes lives but in Ogaden villages two Tigrai generals take lives. Before they take yours go practice your dhaanto and how to present that hot tea instead of wasting time on Hawiye and Bantu niiko videos.

Cagdheerboy

as my fellow lander (hodan) said the gif seems fake. first we have no hotels with that interior design in somaliland. and you have no actual vidio or pics to verify your claims. niiko is one of somali ciyaar dhaqameed to me its cool if landers could try but if they didn't there is no reason to creake fake link between landers and our hawiye brothers traditional dance.
