This must be forth or fifth such conference so far, with nothing to show for it.

You can't fault them for trying.
Clearly there must be another approach.

We have the Somaliland development corporations and we use the legality of the UK TO DO BUSINESS WITH DIFFERENT FIRMS ACROSS THE WORLD its not much but it can tackle allot of short comings when it comes to to dealing with international firms.

SL needs radical ideas and needs to do things in a very innovative way. It needs to break with culture and stop conducting herself like recognized states. There is no need to entertain few Brits and their meaningless business elites. UK is not risk taker nor are they adventerous when it comes to investing. You're dealing with the wrong people.

If I was Silanyo, apart from their aid, I would not give any ear to UK. I welcome their generous donation but stuff them. They're useless and UK itself needs its own donor aid to rescue her from collapsing like Somalia. UK is nothing but a white third world country.

Hargeisa needs to fly to Brazil, most South American states including Venezuela and charm such nations. There is nothing in London. You have been going there since 1888 and not a single thing came from there that is tangible.

What will convince Idoor that UK is not your Godfather?

Fcuk UK.

It's another meaningless gathering that will produce no fruits.

I rather go to Brazil and tell them to at least open a samba school or even a football field. Better than begging fish and chips in cold London. What a waste!!

The conference in London in 2014 will not produce any different result than Haji Sharmarke's British encounter in the 18th century in Bulaxaar. If you take the same road for 200 years and expect to see different result one day, you're very delusional. You have to take a different route all together to see a new fresh of air. London has long expired and Idoor politicians need to watch Discovery Channel more often.

i must say khalid you seem to live in dream land. you seem not to take the recognition seriously in a matter of 10-15 years SL would be absorbed by xamar. not militarily but diplomatically, soon all countries and big players around the globe will have an embassy in xamar. when that happens, to who will we turn too? we must to act now while most countries does not have serious relations with xamar. i blame the large diaspora in uk for this all SL current and past presidents are associated with the tiny island. that is why i wouldn't vote for silanyo he did a good job but i don't want us to be pushed around like what happened in the air space control controversy the old man is so soft. warabe is a uk citizen but he have more guts than the entire SL government combined he may actually try to get out of this small box we imprisoned ourselves in. so ina deer wake up of this fantasy of "we manage ourselves better without recognition" this fallacy won't work for us on the medium/long term

Good to see Rageh Omar, respect.

The conference will produce very little result but its good to see Landers optimistic. I believe in home-grown solutions. Perhaps the conference should have been in Hargeisa. There are so many Idoor with money. You have to focus on them and sell yourself hard to them. You have to convince them to invest including Amina Hirsi Moge in Kampala. She can develop the same apartments in Kampala in Hargeisa.

Once Isaac money is poured in, all wanna follow them there but the Gov makes hard for Isaac to even invest. It takes them so long just to approve stupid papers. They do not take the locals serious enough.

No point showing your futo to cadan men.
