Members of the House of Representatives of Somaliland are expecting to have an astonishing session after six weeks of vacation, and Saturday’s session, pro- government legislators are reported to have a plan of sacking the current chairman of their house Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Irro), who is in the meantime, the chairman of the country’s main opposition party WADDANI.
Several previous sessions have been put off after the pro-government Representatives – which are the majority of the House – have accused the chairman Irro of making changes and amendments (falsification of documents) secretly in the Voter and Civic Registrations act which the majority members of the House have already approved unanimously.
There are no certain facts about this motion on sacking the chairman, but according to news sources which have confirmed the existence of this news pointed out that there are profound issues which are expected to be brought today before the House of Representatives, including a motion which are intended to sack the current chairman of the House who is likewise the leader of the opposition party WADDANI.
The other points of the agenda are expected to be included; approving the seven members of the National Electoral Commission and the estimation of 2015 national budget.
Replacing the security members of the House by the Police Commander Mr. Abdilahi Eman Fadal have increased the tensions in the House and the existence of this motion which the majority of the House are reported to sack their chairman on the basis of falsification of documents.
