SL tourist attractions for foreigners has deffo got to be reading shop/business signs.

I'm not lying, when I was in SL last I saw at least 30 different ways of spelling the word "petrol".

Batrool, Pitril, batraal, beetral, beedrool etc.

Why does everything have to have an English name? Do they think it's ilbax replacing perfectly good somali words with bastardised english ones? Just call it shidaal for fcks sake.

Its not just Somaliland. But its thw whole somali population.
In Djibouti everything is in french
Somali galbeed its amhara
Somaliland English
Somali Italian (Now Turkish)

I think its the whole idea of being reer megaal.
I don't even think there is an official somali language dictionary.
