Freedom of religion for SL??

Postby CunaayeLander » Fri Apr 03, 2015 5:17 pm

Su'aashan waxa iga keentay HARGEISA CATHOLIC CHURCH RECONSTRUCTION.
Anigu i vote for YES cuz shacabka SL maaha 100% muslim, waa inaan ilaalino dadka minority ku ah SL regardless of their religion, qabiil or background. I know SL is trying to be a "civilized" country oo dadka madaxa kama gooyaane. If SL government want to use the term 'Democratic', i think we should accept those who have different faiths. We should look up to countries with majority muslim population and with non-muslim minorities, living in peace side by side :!:

The church if reconstructed would probably end up as a mosque.

Joking aside......if there are Christians in Somalia they deserve to have somewhere to pray.
PS it's not like we don't have mosques all over the west......even at taxpayers expense. :)

The people of Somaliland are intelligent enough to co-exist with Christians and people of other faith.

''The dealings of the Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, with other religions can best be described in the verse of the Quran:

“To you be your religion, to me be mine.”''

If there are no Christian people in SL right now, then why should they be introduced into the country?

Somaliland should remain entirely Muslim

Diplomats, tourism, you name it and renovating the church as a historical monument. Somaliland will always remain predominately muslim.
There was a priest once in Somalia, in all his 30 years, he managed to convert 3 Somalis to Christianity. Islam is deeply rooted into the Somali society. We have nothing to fear.

Anigu i vote for YES
Aakhira lagu weydiinaya why you voted for YES.

The only person who used to go to Hargeisa tiny church was George Fidel who died few years ago.

Since you claimed there are Christians in Somaliland can you name any Christian Somalilander who live in Hargeisa or anywhere in Somaliland?

I don't personally know a person who's practicing christianity in Hargeisa lkn there was christians in SL during(and after) the british colonization, markaas SL should protect hadhaaga dadkaas yacni i always hear the government arresting people for being non-muslims(soomaali) haddana we want to be a democratic country
