Silaanyo's second term

Give credit where it's due there have been a lot of successful projects since his kulmiye leadership but I don't think the president should rerun if hes not fit for the job. It doesn't make sense to run if your wife family and Xirsi are doing most the work. I was a Silaanyo change supporter but he needs to retire. I'd rather see a fully awear Silaanyo lead the country once again than any of Somaliland's current opposition parties.

"Somaliland" is not a country. Whether he stays or goes, makes no differance.

Hold up, so you came the Somaliland section where it clearly says "Silaanyo's second term", and you decided to take time out of your worthless day to comment on a subject that doesn't even matter to you

Hope not, he's not fit
I suspect the HJ are not willing to take more L's for him to stay
on that chair for another 5 years.

Silanyo has done well in the past 5 years, I think he deserves a 2 year extention.

If Siilanyo return for one more term, Somaliland and his legacy will be both in the dog house.
To subject reer somaliland another 5 years of xirsi....is just cruel and unusual punishment.

Aishah: no joke, but I'm pretty sure Faisal Ali Waraabe as wasiirka gaanshaandhiga wouldn't flinch at the idea of nuking Buhoodle and Garowe

If silanyo decides to give up running again
1. its good for his legacy and kulmiye party will definitely win the next elections.
2. its good for our country international image because we are in africa continent where leaders never retires until they lost, dies or kicked out.
3. its good for habar jeclo because we won't be pinpointed an other 5 years. today if one hj person buys a piece of land in hargeisa berbera or gets well paid job/tender he/she is more likely to be accused something relating to the regime. but tomorrow if silanyo and his mini xirsi gone no body will comment if we take over all hargeisa xaafado and every possible opportunities in our country . I don't know why Somalilanders have this culture of discriminating the national leader's clan in every field. ilaahaw uu na nadhaafaa at least xitaa dhuloskan kibraanu meel saari lahyn eed la,aan.

What do you consider a legacy?
I can't think of a single legacy by Lander politicians. What do you consider a legacy and name a single thing by Silanyo that is a legacy in your eyes because his minor gains in contrast to Riyale are not a legacy.
for me only Siad Barre left a lasting legacy; the Latin Somali alphabet.

Most of the progress we somalilanders feel proud of were achieved during the last 5 years under silanyo. Most importantly the road construction campaigns, the economy improvement, the rise of natiolism, building government institutions etc. there is no doubt that we grew stronger since the last 5 years in every field except the the recognition searching process which I believe we were doing well under rayale. in my opinion most somalilanders are not complaining silanyo as a low performing leader but they are complaining his loose control. we all have the feelings that the veteran leader is heavily overshadowed by his kitchen cabinet and the situation could deteriorate if he gets elected again. thats why I believe its good for his 40 years legacy if he retires withing the next few months.
