Cool.....The 2015 new satellite images have settled a lot of arguments walee

Lakiin kariintooy meelaha qaar in dib loogu noqdo weyan. Wajaale being bigger than Gabiley and Berbera is nothing but a bit of hogwash and is laughable. It's just not possible. Although u did say it's nothing concrete and is your own scribbling with an obvious touch of bias, some fools will still take this as some sort of factual evidence and reference it in the near future.

Jigjiga and Burco are nowhere near Diridhaba. Jigjiga being only smaller than dire dawa by 2 sqkm is hilarious. Burco being as twice the size of Borama is sacrilegious to say the least. And you have been unfair to Bosaso, Beledweyne and Galgacayo. If anyone in here believes or will go with your finding that those 3 cities are all half of the size of Burco then they are all bloody ignorant goons .

Good effort still

Perhaps not Bosaso but I've always thought that Baydhabo, Galkacyo and Beledweyne seemed as expansive as Burco by area.

Garissa is always out of date in imaging for some reason, thanks anyway.

BTW Galkacyo, Burco Beledweyne and Bosaso are all the same size.
When measuring a city it is best to count houses and not sq area because of differences in density.

Does the measurement for Wajaale include the portion on the Ethiopian side of the border? That side of Wajaale is quite large.

I've been to both Bosasso and Burco, Bosasso is more dense (in terms of structures and buildings) especially in the center portions of the towns, and Burco is more spread out with larger suburbs (the city itself is bigger in mass). However, it is obvious that within the last five years that Bosasso is a more densely populated.

Please add Ceerigaabo.

Thanks for sharing Abdikarim86

Nothing unfair, it is there for everyone to see. I would say he had been unfair to Berbera as there are many buildings left out . But it is roughly that size

Clearly they are not the same size, burco is at least few times bigger then Bosasso. In fact Bosasso is the smallest of those places u mentioned

I clearly stated that the information I am putting out is in no way indicative of population density
That would be almost impossible to infer let alone measure from satellite images alone

Wajaale is a bit overrated saaxib. Population wise Gabilay is much bigger compared to Berbera and Wajaale.

Burco though :blessed:

Yusuf bring it on. Iga walla in aanay wajaale ka waynayn Berbera, xataa Gabiley ayaanay u dhawayn. Wajaale is just a glorified tuulo with border traffic, while Gabiley is a certified town/city.

Mida kale imika ma waxan ku qaylaad tagaa Burco is twice the size of Borama? miyaanay waxasi xigto miis caadiya ahayn?

Cuz, you need not worry about size. When arable land and other precious resources are abound.
