Umada SL wali may qaangaadhin garasho ahaan. Tusaale ahaan, Muse Bixi waxa lagu tageera systemka dalka buu aad u yaqaan, laakin waxa loo bahaanyahay qof systemka is bedel ku sameeya."
My point
Leaders should be chosen on 'meritocracy not hero worship'. Its an African problem shared with many countries like South Africa (ANC) and Rwanada (RPF) to name a few. Post conflict societies liberated by a rebel group via a popular revolution share many similarities; the former rebel leaders turned political leader use their struggle and veteran status as a political tool to hold on to power by constantly reminding the society of their horrific past whilst that populace (see Jacob Zuma) lack tangible human and economic development. As if partaking in a civil war is a pre-requisite for political office.
Even self-aware wise men like our very own 'Le Justicier'-- who incessantly complains of bad leadership, slow development and clan politics, choose to support civil war dinosaurs that represent and only know this form of governance, which simply does not add up
Why not support the educated class of politicians like Harvard graduates Jamal Ali Hussein and Mohamed Bixi Younis? These gentlemen climbed the ladder and earned high level positions within competitive international agencies/organizations because of their hard-work and leadership; individual successes should also be rewarded IMO.
