Xaafada October is named after Xaaji October " AUN " not October as 21st of October.

You can name a street after Sheffield but it is pointless to change the history of a place because some councils recognize you. You should do like Hargeisa and name Xaafadaha after SNM Mujahids.

There is Xaafad in Burao named Afgooye. Question to reer Burco out there, anyone knows why it was named Afgooye?

There is Xaafad in Berbera called Xaafada Finland.

Reer Burco are obsessed with cities'/countries'/regions' names. Abu Dhabi, London, Afgooye, Qandahar, Jermalka, Scandinavia and now Sheffield. I think it is because most of Somali speaking people in diaspora are from Burao.

Xaafada plaza is best. It's where most nice developed houses are. And lots of qurbajoogs. My neighbours some from uk and some Arabs. Xaafada oktober is ciriiri. Xaafada Jaaliyada fokers used to shiid us there dad xun baa degen. Xaafada Tuwali ayeeyadey baa degen. Burco is not bad it can be boring. the mosquitoes drove me nuts. Siad Barre had good plan for Burao but it was not to be.

Look he started this xaafad and decided to name it October after his revolutionary council, which is the month they came to power following the coup. Every year Barre put the nomads thru drills in October.
