Not just reer Burco...
People will come from every region in Somalia/Somaliland to study in this Islamic University, Madina Islamic University Iyo Najaah waa isku manhaj.
Oh no, dont say Madina Uni, that is Wahabism HQ.

Why not link up with Azhar? Anything but Madina Uni.

"The link between Salafis and Bin Laden's terrorist web will prove acutely embarrassing to Saudi Arabia, whose royal family has invested huge sums in spreading Salafi thought abroad. The leading centre for the study and export of Salafi ideas is the Islamic University of Medina, in Saudi Arabia, which was founded by the king in 1961 "to convey the eternal message of Islam to the entire world"."

:Heh: the guardian? Don't be brain-washed kid. Gaaladan waxay doonaan bay soo qooraan, ma waxaad ka sugaysaa inay wadan Islam ah wax Wanaagsan ka sheegaan.
The same gaalo that accept Somali refugees by the bucketload and the same fat saudis that dump them in Yemen or Mogadishu?

I don't know why people are so anti saudi, anti Salafi, anti wahabi.
To be honest Saudi Arabia is the best place to learn Islam in the 21st century.
Egypt used to be good, but it has become corrupted.
I am not a Wahabi or anything, but I just hate Suufis.
They have tought us so many bad things, and they have led so many people into doing wrong.
When Suufis run the land, they used to do weird things such as 'saar ba la tumanjiray'. Grave worshiping was normal.
The Suufi Imams had so many false things. They even believed that Allah was everywhere.

I'm not here to promote Wahabis, but when it comes to suufis and Wahabis, I prefer Wahabis.
I have studied with both of them, and I come to the conclution that the Wahabis teach u accurately with proper hathis and references to back it up. However the thing I do not like about Wahabis, is they tend to take the harder option.
Last time I checked Suufis aren't the ones going around beheading people or doing suicide bombings. These kids in the near future will be calling for the downfall of "the kaafir" SL goverment, establishment of an Islamic State and implementation of Taliban style sharia law.

Salafism/Wahabism is absolutely the worst understanding of Islam imaginable, the most hardline and hateful form of diinta possible. Couple that with Somalis already being singular in approach and hardliners anyway and you have a recipe for disaster.
Don't be so naive, it better to do real research, instead reading the guardian.
Salafism is the best understanding of Islam, the use proper references, and the right hadiths.
Everyone else makes up their own stuff.

But What people don't understand is the difference between saudi culture, and Islam.
Things like Women not being allowed to drive has nothing to do with Islamic teachings.

These extremist are nothing to do with Salafism or Islam. They are fake people with no knowledge funded by the west.
I thought a smart person like you would know that.
At the end of the day its the brothers in Mecca and medina that is keeping Islam a live.
It says in a hadith that 'Islam is going to decline, not because muslims are not going to decline in numbers. But rather the loss of knowledge'.
Western powers have being trying to split us up, and separate us, because they know that is the only way they can defeat us.
Saudi is the last place that sunnis control.
Because Al-Azhar university in egypt is fully funded by the U.S.

Burco waa magaalo madaxa diinta ee :sland:

Ben Dover, Liquid & Lancer, bad baad isku furteen, fuduulnimadiina baleega. This thread is not about which "brands" of Islam you find distasteful, nor about the hall of fame of Saudi scientists or artists (lol huh?!), and not about how you feel about the Saudi regime... an Islamic uni is being built in Burco, to teach Qur'aan, shariica, fiqh, hadiith, sunnah, seerah, etc to our people, in their home country without great cost to them & in a consistent way :blessed: No problem with that, only progress

YM, please don't simplify my post. Either address the issue or leave it. I didn't think you were so naive as to think the commission of this "Islamic university" is a benevolent act and that what the kids going to this establishment would be learning would be anything but the Saudi/Wahabi approved curriculum that preaches intolerance, hatred, regression and violence.

As for hall of fame, when did I mention such a thing? I asked a simple question; why accept a university to be built by a country that has the intellectual heritage of a termite mound? What can they teach us? Somaliland doesnt need another Islamic college or malcaamad, those things are a dime-a-dozen. We need technical colleges and schools that teach kids science, maths, medicine and engineering. The country is not crying out for sheekhs or more fake muftis. It needs more doctors, engineers and people with actual technical skills.

I find it strange how that is so hard to understand. :?

We should have nothing to do with the corrupt infidel Wahabi House of Saud. They are a disgrace to Islam and all of mankind.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Salafism, it doesn't promote terrror and hate like the media wants you to think. In fact, Salafis are outspoken critics of extremism. Don't take my word for it, go and find out for yourself!! Terrorist organisation such as AL-Qaeda and ISIS know noting about Islam, most of their fighters are former criminals and gangsters who don't even know how to pray properly!. Please learn Islam beforr you start to judge others and be more open-minded.

Just another institution designed to create more ISIS and Al Shabab cadets.

We need to block this and even bomb it.

It sure is first of its kind. There was any Al Shabab camp in SL.

If reer Burao are sympathetic to Saudi terrorism doctrine we may have to send RRU from Hargeisa to bomb it and send the fat Saudis back to their caves.

I wonder if the facility will teach how to skin a hyena.

We need to bomb this and eradicate all radicals and known terrorist sponsors. Never accept anything from Saudia including schools, wells, "books" and arms.

Grumpy is you fam in Burco are Salafi?
I heard people there & Caynabo are either Salafi or Ikhwaan.

Though for real, Saudis are scum of the earth, we shouldn't mingle with those people.

You guys are sick people, very sick indeed. Quran, hadiith and Islamic studies that's it. This has nothing to do with anything else. People need to study their religion. Caqligii gaalada ayaa maskaxdiina lagu shubay.
