Kulmiye is liberal democrats they believe in open market, and who ever have a top $$ can take it all...which I believe is a dangerious approach on a poor country like Somaliland, in this way, the rich will get richer and the poor get poorer.

Kulmiye party's logo even exemplifies a businessmen handshaking.





UCID party are center left socialist democrats party, they are more concerned about about social justice and reforms in Somaliland's executive,legislative and judiciary systems to make all branches of government more transparent, accountable and just for all. ,also giving minorities their fare share in Somaliland.

Wadani Party.

I think wadani are the only party that have presented their political program to the public, the other 2 parties are only mentioning few highlights in different occasions,but nothing formal so far, I think they are affraid other parties might steal some ideas or negatively critisize them on some agendas.

Nope, nothing. I regret to say we have nothing to offer other than the last thing you mentioned above. We are however going past it very slowly. Give us some time will ya, we only had 25 years, damn!

I agree with you 100%

The government boasts that they have a democracy and that it's better than somalia, but to be fair anything is better than somalia. However the main problem with Somaliland is that their government is pathetic. I read their constitution and boy is it rubbish, many of the stuff that they wrote are not being fulfilled.

Their houses of parliament are stupid too. Nearly everyone in both houses are over 50 and have been more or less hand picked in accordance to their qabiil.

As much as the west is different from Somaliland, i must say they need a whole reform of their government and change it into a parliamentary republic and allow more people to create political parties so they can actually give people a role in what they are apart of, so they should just follow the UK example.

They also need more people from the diaspora to work with them and who are educated, it might seem a bit crazy but there are quite a few people on this forum that i've read that have good ideas and ideas that can work but it's unfortunate that their voice is unheard.
