My understanding is that Faisal will personally take up the powerful post of Presidential affairs minister and other UCID figures will also join the Musa Behi government in various posts ( ministers, deputy ministers and state ministers )

Have to see if UCID has succeeded in persuading to get Speaker of Wakiilada which they plan to give to a Harti UCID Mp

the information I stated is related to what will happen post election - UCID still wants to contest the presidential vote but we don't know if Jamal is still the candidate. For me Musa is the least bad of the candidates

However should Kulmiye win Faisal will accept the results in return for privileges that are stated in my first post

The key is that because of the proportional voting method no single party will win 50% plus of the seats in the parliamentary election hence the need for coalition / stability

How can that be somaliland isnot a parliamentary democracy It is a Presidentail and coalition government can not be formed as there has to be a clear winning party and capable in forming a government.

presidents needs to have a majority in their parliament to pass laws and to generally govern smoothly - Brazil and Malawi have a presidential system each yet both countries have coalition cabinets all the time

Indr you need to read the the constitution, Somaliland system is absolute presidential The winner takes all power. Only the elected president can decide who to include his cabinet. There is no room for multiparty coalition. Ucid is a national party its hired (by the people) to challenge the elected government not to work for them.

I think some of you have misunderstood Bigbreak post,

1. Yes Somaliland has presidential elections and the winner takes all regarding governing power

2. Somaliland still has something called judiciary and legislative branches, with parliament being the last.
It is here hypothecically Faisal Ali Waraabe can help Biixi and Kulmiye get a carte blanche once in power, so that the goverment can implement and exercise more without meeting a stiff majority opposition in parliament since UCID + Kulmiye will be majority.

Example A

Silaanyo government tried recently to privatize hamaaha Berbera (fuel tanks) but because the opposition controls parliament and such a decree requires parliament to consent it failed miserably because Kulmiye is minority in Parliament. It was basically clubbed down by Cirro with both a hammer as well as couple hooks against dep speaker held by Kulmiye.

Now should UCID in theory back Kulmiye in parliament after next elections the result would be that Wadani would be completely sidelined in both legislative and governing aspects of Somaliland, should Cirro also lose the seat as Speaker this would be an unprecedented concentration of power not seen in Somaliland since Egal era when he was detailmanaging all minister portfolios and inserting presidential decrees every second day.

I do not believe Waraabe would be interested in a lowly minister post so that cannot be a motivation, I doubt this could be true anyway. However after 2005 elections UCID and Kulmiye was allied in Parliament and there is a hypothetical chance this could happane again. There is nothing that prohibits such an alliance allthough it would be most unfortunate for Wadani should they lose presidential elections as they will become completely irrelevant in Parliament as well.

I think it will also be dangerious for Somaliland and might I remind you folks, HY is a very large clan, they became the single largest voting block in 2005, should this really happen a significant part of Somalilands population would be isolated ( let's face it parties = clans) the old saying do not take two carcasses from a lion comes to mind, but this time we have no pragmattic Egal in charge, only one of the most radical elements from the Somaliland civil war.

even if an election is dirty no civilised person should engage in violence but instead should use peaceful, democratic means to take up their greivances

Bro for what I care Musa Biixi could be president and I will congratulate all his followers and fans, but what I would not tolerate or accept is unwarranted CG / Waraabe opposition against Cirro / Wadani (HY) through such an alliance, Adeer Faisal has tried twice to become president he should let Jamal take the helm and not conspire against his former partner Cirro and team Wadani, and I say this a CG myself this is totally unacceptable (if true, this is just hypothesis from the net).

Waraabe has become enemies with so many former team mates, his victim list is quite long today, and not all of them are fortunate to go and create their own party.

Also Somaliland is only strong if we remain united within, it's only once a country has become rotten from inside it's ripe for conquest, that must not happen to us.
