This is not the first time I see this tribal chief dress in feathers though.

is this a traditional dress for beesha Gabooye ?...or maybe the chief is trying to revive an old cusom among his community.!!

would love to know from the culture experts if this dress is from gabooy's culture or is the chief trying to compete with boqor burmadow. :lol:

Image every time I see this pix though :notsure: :dead:

We Somalis have no culture to call our own, so it is not that unusual for us to imitate those of others, such as the Arabs, Zulus, native Indians, and god knows how many more.

looks like a stereotypical tribal African dress. like the Zulu.

@Barbarossa

what about the lamagodle y macwiis?

it's true though. we appropriate other people's cultures too much.

if you ask me the Gabooye chief has more swag because of originality then the others, boqor buurmadow is dressed halfway between a Disney princess and a yemenitt beduoin, while Boqor Burhan of MJ is dressed like a Saudi.

What happened to our culture, only Gabooye putting it down like it was :leon:

I think those feathers are supposed to emphasize the Baal Goray. The Gabooye are notorious for wiping out entire bird species by over hunting.

Have you ever eaten Gurayo meet and tasted its Subag. It's pretty popular among Gaboiye. It tastes really good.
