The first image appears to resemble the somali phenotype. The rest come across as non Cushitic and some what sub Saharan.

The other day I had watched A show named baadisicod, one of the things they talked about is that just pre world war days there was a German business man the acquired wild animals from Africa, eventually he began to have a taste of African culture and history, so he decided to bring Africans dressed in their native garmants and with their weopens/tools etc to Germany where they would be on display in a prop room and the Germans would watch them from the outside looking in. At one occasion the German business brought Somalis I think they were ciise muuses from berbera to be viewed in Germany by his German customers.

So are you sure some these pictures are not messais people from kenya rather than them being somali brought to yemen

The human zoo were all from Yemen , it was illegal practice in Somaliland. The Somalis called it " carwo" , it was a booming business , Sheikh Maxamed Nuur who was captured in Germany during the first war world as Prisoner of War due to him been a British subject was the Mullah of the Somali village in Germany , a woman Called Maria Von wrote a bit of his bio when he was in prison camp. He was either a Dhulbahnate or a H.J.

During ww1 it can't have of been an illegal practice in somaliland. The berbera natives were going to Germany just before ww2 so basically this practice was continuing just untill 1945. Also I wouldn't call it a human zoo, the Somalis viewed it as a temporary employement oppertunity with huge rewards.
