Dr Dameer and his Hawiye herd have not presented a single sources to substantiate their claim , fact is the evidence for the SNM as the movement that broke the back of the Afweyne regime is substantiated by every major western historians of the conflict. so why the Hawiye stubbornly like a donkey insist on their revisionism. either present evidence like the Isaaq did or accede the point.

X. Playa,
The first USC was the Rome division and Long before Aideed arrived in Ethiopia 300 Abgaal fighters were already in the south.
Looks like you don't know what you talking about.
USC was created by Ali Wardhiigley and the likes of Jimcaale Osoble.
Jimcaale was to replace Barre but he fell ill and died in Rome. Some say the Italian mafia hired by Ali Mahdi poisoned him in exchange to dump the chemical waste.
Rome, Mogadishu (Ali Mahdi), Addis (Aideed) was the order.
Aideed arrived in Ethiopia December 1989 but USC was created in the Hawiye Rome conference that took place January-Feb 1989.

Cali Wardhiigale was not Abgaal, and 300 Abgaal collected somewhere means nothing those who were at Mustaxiil conference with the SPM and SNM were the once who reached Muqdisho through Afgooye just shortly before the uprise in Muqdisho. 300 getting collected somewhere means nothing , one can argue in similar lines that the SNM began with Afraad under Maxamed Cali who battled the OLF death squads, but that is just splitting hair and just pure polemic.

I didn't say Wardhiigley was Abgaal. If you read proper you will see I said he was Murursade but Rome was dominated by Abgaal immigrants. You can't run a rebel without the finances. Rome was the financial body. This was the Mudulood front.
Aideed was brought to Ethiopia not by the Mudulood but by SNM.
Aideed alread was feeling alienated and sidelined by USC Rome who rather financed Ali Mahdi.
And that's why he was SNM loyalist and said any process they are not part is null void.

The reality about SNM is the next one:
SNM launched an offensive against Barre in 1988, this offensive was military disaster, because Siad Barre recovered all the cities seized by SNM.
After 1988 failure, SNM rebels controlled Somaliland countryside and besieged Somaliland cities and towns, Somali army in the North was surrounded by SNM.

That's not disaster that's called a victory.

The 1988 offensive was a militar disaster for SNM because it was expelled from all the cities they have captured. After 1989, SNM regained Somaliland countryside and besieged Somaliland cities, period.

What other choice did they have mengistu signed deal with afweyne for them to leave ethiopia border region only option was attack the capital end war for good but the regime went after civilians and destroy the towns.

You are talking about another issue.
The reality is SNM offensive was a disaster and after 1989, SNM controlled the countryside of Somaliland. The sources support my standpoint.
