Were SNM religious group?

Postby Siciid85 » Thu Jun 02, 2016 1:30 am

Every video I have seen and every article I have read, the SNM leaders/soldiers always chanted"Allahu Akbar". Not only that, but they always seemed to have a Sheikh with them to read sermons and dua before missions and ignite the spirits of soldiers.

I have never seen a single footage where the SNM were saying things that were violent or engage in violent behavior. They always seemed up beat and confident as a group.

There are also first hand accounts where certain commanders like Mohamed Ali AUN never went on a mission unless each and every soldier prayed and wouldn't allow anyone who doesn't pray to be among his unit.

That being said, the SNM werent full blown religious movement, but they were grounded and guided by the Islamic principles in some respect.

Yaa ila qaba, yaa se aan ila qabin?

Haa SNM were religious group unlike faqash oo kaadida iska maydhi jirin.
Waxaan xasuustaa maalin aan dhegaystay mujaahid ka waramaya sidii ina koodbuur ina askar ula baxay.
Wuxuu yidhi markii salaadii casar ama maqrib ay gaadhay ayaanu salaadii isku jamac sanay oo tukanayey.
Hada weli waxay joogan xadkii Somalia faqash na way iman kartaa.
Maasha Allah geesinimo iyo diin yaqaan ayay isku darsadeen.
Alaahu akbar SNM

They did the job and that's all that matter. Religious? Yes they were Muslims.

any person/s who defend their right is religious. Even an atheist fighting for his survival is no different than the so called "Mujahiden".

AUN to all the dearly departed Mighty Men of Valour.

Any where on earth where Muslims are involved in war the cultural chanting of Allah Akbar and the Quran is just routine , but the leaders of the SNM with the exception of the son of sheikh Madar were all secular , in fact Axmed Jimcaale was a well educated atheist, also Buubaa of the central committee was atheist and smoked his weed in the 70's with his white girlfriend. And never believed in the religious mumbu jumbo.

The SNM leaders actually at first wanted to impose sharia law the strict form the stoning and all of that but later saw that its not feasible they even wey dhagaxeeyaan a few naago in the early 1990s ,as for Axmed Jimcaale was never an atheist he only questioned why does god find it important to control the sexual behavior of Man. He always said ilaah maxa ka galay laba u abuuray haday is galmoodan iyo in kale. Axmed jimcaaale was a critical thinker he said ilaah muxu afka hebrew iyo afka carabiga dunida oo dhan ugu la hadla muxu af aynan hore aynan u maqal inugu la hadli wayey afka samada why afka koox kaliyaa. He never ever said he is not a Muslim and he never denied Prophet Muhammad.

He doesn't have to say it loud. I know his brother in law personally, he is in his 60s, the brother of his reer Faarax Guuleed wife.
