Koonfuria Banana

Postby JSLHistorian » Wed Sep 21, 2016 4:54 am

Most bananas in Somaliland are imported from Lower Shabelle and Hiiraan. It is the sweetest banana out there you will ever
taste, those in Tesco shelves back in Europe got nothing on it. I can't eat my baasto or bariis without moos by the side.

:blessed:

theyuusuf143 Mangos are luxury in Somaliland, I don't think they are found there. I ate cut up papayas in restaurants though.
The only thing Somaliland is good at is growing watermelon (xabxab/qaare). There is some even growing in my villa.
Guava (Zaytuun) also grows in the highlands of Sahil and Hargeisa area.

Naf ma lahaa. Very small, green and looks rotten. They don't when to cut, no cooling aystem and transportation is big issue. By the time it reaches SL it has been on the road in the scorching sun and over heated lorry for minimum 5 days.

Not my thing.

We need better yellow bananas.
There has to be better solution and quality.

Don't be fooled by its looks on the outside skin. Once you open it, it is clean and fresh on the inside. Don't judge a book by
its cover.
