SL Black Market Money and Foreign Currency

Postby LiquidHYDROGEN » Thu Nov 10, 2016 4:23 am

This is a huge problem back home because businesses are using shitty 500/1000 Shillins to avoid tax, hoard bills and also creating a huge price inflation by trading in US dollars. Why is a cup of tea worth 3 dollars in a country where the average person only earns less than $600 a year? :mindblown:

This is undermining the country's economic and financial integrity and and along with the constant importing of even the simplest items like a toothpick, the hundreds of millions of dollars spent per annum on qat, we are haemorrhaging billions of dollars in government revenue. Money that could be used to prevent and prepare for droughts, create jobs build roads and other infrastructure.

Isaq cannot rule themselves they elites take advantage of there own people. That's why there citizens come to Bosaso to work as maids, mechanic or just beg for money on the street. Shame on you somaliland rulers for slaving your own citizens that way. This what happens when u create a new currency for a region of Somalia that will never be accepted to become a country. 25 years of Slavery and still no Progress for the ordinary people that live there. So sad! Look at the average person in Puntland they not in any way or form traveling to Somaliland for work or etc. Yes Somalia is a poor country as a whole but you guys are truly the poorest of all. A place that 1% of the population control every revenue of the state. It's shamefull. You will never fine a price of tea to be $3 In anywhere in Somalia right now. I challenge anyone to travel to Somaliland for a week and see how life for the people is and go back where u from in Somalia and compare. Then tell me if I am lying.
