Galaal was part of the regime but he deserted siyad barre after he lost all except xamar
he was used by manifesto after caydiid forces reached outskirts of balcad in hawlwadaag/hodan direction

he was a very gifted general in the somali army prior to even general afweynes regime he was also a general in afweynes somali Republic former somali republic. he joined the usc and organised the hawiye militia and helped topple siyad bare regime. he also raided the digil and mirifles in the 1990s he helped cleanse the darood regime from Somalia. he later took part of the reconciliation efforts of Somalia.. he always spoke out against general midgaan this is not the first time. but also in 2009 he also pointed out allot of war criminals who carried out atrocities in somaliland like canjeex. it does matter whether he holds a position in somalia or not. because there is a law in sl. somalia politicians ,military personal under no circumstance are they allowed to visit somaliland. civilians and business people can visit. the same way its haram for a somaliland politician to visit xamar.
