President Uhuru Kenyatta honors Isaaq community

Postby AwRastaale » Thu Jan 05, 2017 3:55 am

Isaaq is the elderest Somali community in Kenya proper who settled all over the country. Majority of them came during the British rule of Kenya. Some went further into Tanzania and Uganda.

Many of them became land owners and rightful citizens of Kenya.

The president pays tribute to the Isaaq community who gathered this week in the State House.

Isaaq always had positive impact wherever they went from UK, Middle East, Ethiopia to Kenya.

Isaaqs are really too dumb. Kenya offered to recognize them if they would allow the imports of Kenyan Khat (Miraa) into the country.

That was a missed opportunity, IMO. They should have allowed it and as soon as they got their Ictiraaf papers signed, banned it.

D'uh.

Honour is not something that you get from someone else, but it is innate.

Self respect and dignity cannot be bought with miraa. It is priceless. Even short term imports of miraa are harmful. It is about principles. Kowtowing does no come naturally to Somalis.

Ishakiah community paid President Uhuru Kenyatta a courtesy call at state house on October 28th last year not last week. A week later Mr. Uhuru issued a decree in which he supported Isahakiah community rights to be resettled in their ancestral lands in Naivasha. Thousands of families who belong to this group have been evicted in 1930's by colonial government. In 1952, colonial government sold all their cattle in auction for 3 Shillings each and confiscated their lands because they supported Mau Mau rebellion. Again in 1970s Kenyan government accused them of supporting Shifta insurgents and destroyed all their houses in Naivasha.

Glad that Dr. Rashid in -1:38 reminded Mr. Uhuru that Mr. Mahmoud Ismail of Maralal, capital of Samburu country which was founded just like many cities by member of Ishakia community and it was where Jomo Kenyatta detained, Uhuru's father, used to sneak milk to Jomo Kenyatta during his incarceration. Even Oginga Odinga, Raila Odinga's father and the first Kenya Vice President, best friend was a member of Ishakiah community and he used to be fed while he was detained by another member of Ishakia community. What did they get in return?

The Kikuyu man in -0:56 who was Mau Mau veteran attested to that.

Well done to Mr. Ahmed Ali Farah for your struggle. Inshallah once again you'll be the richest community in Africa.

So almost 60 years later the filthy Kikuyu's have still not righted the wrongs. :)
PS They have separated themselves from the other Somali's by calling themselves "Issakiya" and are not deserving of any sympathy.

The president gave a shout out to Sambur sh. Isaxaaq at the beginning of the video :damn:

OD, did you actually watch the video?
According to Kenyan TV, your qurjiile ass is also a member of the house of Issakiya, as they cited your gal Amina as an associate of the great Duriyad, so hold the Issakiya banner high :)

(All Dhulos members start to hyperventilate :D )
