We need to give attention to Erigavo, probabily moving to capital there. The Erigavo settlement is several centuries old. It lies approximately 180 km from Badhan the second biggest city in the region to the east, The general area is noted for its numerous historical tombs, where various Somali clan patriarchs are buried.

As of 2013, Erigavo is the administrative capital of the northern Sanaag region. It is also the center of the Erigavo District.

Erigavo has a population of around 41,000 inhabitants. The broader Erigavo District has a total population of 114,846 residents.

The city is primarily inhabited by the Dhulbahante and Warsangali of the Harti, Darod clan, along with the Habar Yoonis and the Habar Jeclo of the Isaaq clan. Several minority clans such as Gahayle, Ugayslabe and Magadle are also present in the city.

Town affairs are managed by Erigavo elders, the city is still not fully governed by any government,

city population are mainly divided into two parts, Suuqa Sare (Upper Market) which is loyal to Somaliland, and Suuqa Hoose (Lower market) which is loyal to Puntland State.

The city depends on the elders to maintain the peace between the inhabitants.

Its in puntlands interest to build the road.
Erigaabo region has some of the best farming in Somaliland. The closest city is boosaaso which is not far away, closer than Burco and berbera. But there are no roads. So a lot of the fruits and veg goes to waste.

Another issue is majority of Erigaabo livestock and cargo goes through Berbera. Port of Boosaso is much closer, so puntlantd wants a slice of the cake. SL government is not xaasid when it comes to development.

And also after this road is built, Puntland can more easily deploy their forces to bari sanag and fight idoors on the frontline. So why the fuck would Xaar-gay-state agree on this road maarka? Idoors are very delusional creatures
