For the love of God he is a f-king businessman and a significant portion of his business is tied
up in Xamar.
People should be free to do what they want, as long as they do not support the demise of SL or
take part in efforts which have SL's destruction as their aim.
Bilaah calayk, There is defending SL from enemies within and without and then there is sheer stupidity.
This falls in the latter.
kala saar siyaasada iyo ganacsiga, was he doing business in this ceremony?
He came to show his support to Farmaajo, sxb caqligu ha shaqeeyo, meesha siyaasad baa lagaga hadlayay no business.
Sxb be pragmatic and put yourself in his shoes.
You have millions tied up in a place. There is a change in power in that place. Will you not attend the inauguration
in order to ingratiate yourself with the new people in power?
I know I would, even if I was vehemently opposed to their ideology. I'd swallow my contempt for the night
I am not necessarily saying what he did is right, laakin don't be so dramatic and treat
him as if inu ka falaagobay SL.
Inta Farmaajo qiiradiisu socoto, dad badan loo xidh xidhay, qof yimi waa qof badheedhsan, takale xaflada ja dib dhib ma jirto iyo xilliga ganacsatadu la kulmayso. Sxb waa nin badheedhay.

He should be made an example of. One could also argue that journalists traveling to cover the walaweyn selection are looking after their interests, they are reporting on news.
The construct of Zoomalia is one that is opposed to Somaliland's existence. Dahabshiil could have sent his deputy and saved himself a lot of hassle. CEOs of large corporations have to think every appearance very carefully, by sending his second in command he would have made the company presence known and saved himself a lot of hassle. He chose to make a public display of it so he has to pay the iron price.
He must visit mandheera.

Ma waxaad leedahay yaanu maalgelinin magaalada Xamar?
Isn't that unreasonable?
He want's to expand his business, Why should he not dominate Xamar?
Any business influence that can be exerted (In the interests of Isaaq if possible) is to be welcomed.
So his business is more important then the interest of SL? Is that what you saying?

Somaliland cidina kama nabad badna, haddana reer Xamar maalshashi hal dhisme oo kan badhkii leeg ku sameeyay maynu arag. Oo maxaad ugu dhisaysaa nin aan isba maalgashi iyo dhisme toona aan kuu ogolayn. Maalgaashigu waa afar u jeeddo:
1. In koboc dhaqaale kaaga yimaado, oo dhaqaale badan kasoo galo dalka
2. In dhalinyaro badan shaqooyin ka helaan, oo horumar ah iyo shaqo abuur
3. In bilic iyo qurux kusoo kordhiyo magaalada
4. in Ninka is leh maalgashigu uu faa'ido ka helo isna.

No!
Laakin why must the 2 clash.
Or do you guys believe investing in Xamar amounts to treason?

You chaging the subject to Xamar investment. This isn't walaweyn chamber of commerce he is attending.
He is attending the inauguration of an enemy who dismissed the killing of 50k isaaq as a cross fire. He is attending the celebration of a man who categorically denies any redeeming qualities of isaaq who called them historical collaborators. He is also is attending and celebrating the enemy of his people and state.
What you are saying its o.k he is making money. Well all of our traitors go there for money why is his case special?

Expanding our influence even in the lands of the enemy is to be welcomed.
And the answer to your question is more or less obvious and has been for many years.
There is an oligarchy which dominates SL and which kills any new (significant) investment (even from the natives) before it has a chance to grow.
This oligarchy is more of a threat to the future of SL than some shitty inauguration of a supervisor of a shitty colony, So maad garan?
This oligarchy includes our friend dahabshiil, the owners of Telesom and the importers, exporters and the owners of bakhaarada waaweyn.
We should be going after them and castrating them. Laakin seeing as we cannot do that, let them expand elsewhere, It may well give
the average Lander some breathing space.
I would also add the fact that Ethiopia and Djibouti aren't free countries to do business in harms us.
Priorities please!

I did not say it was right. I merely stated that he is being pragmatic and looking after his interests, and that we should
not make a big deal out of it.
The difference between Dahabshiil and the Dirta Waqooyi traitors is that he isn't political. Nor does he undermine the existence of
SL.

Bad move on his part to go down there. Not against him doing business in Xamar, but taking part in these festivities isn't smart.

Coldoon is a civilian who hasn't taken up any official position with their administration he also went their for his line of work so why was he locked up then? Either we lock everyone up equally or let them all go. You know how dangerous this precedent is if the law only applies to some people? Not to mention tribal sentiment will soon come into play.
