SL relocates capital

Post by AwRastaale »

It looks like SL relocated its capital after the government held an almost full cabinet meeting in Dubai.

After the session, SL met with UAE officials to sign more deals. UAE will now fund the long road between Berbera and Ethiopia. Constructions will begin on Berbera airport, which will consist of civilian and military.

Massive projects on their way. The gov and UAE officials may arrive together on Air Arabia, which will make its maiden flight to SL on the 4th.

All pie in the sky wishes. Reality is till now no info is available on these promised " mashaariic" that SL government is repeating.

This Berbera corridor doesn't in any shape or form benefits the average SL. This road is needed by DP to connect now their port of Berbera to their customer Ethiopia. Why this DP self interest is advertise as something that would benefits our people.

Awrastaale ninyow nagalaga fadhiiso sheeko cayntan. Not a single mashruuc can be named that UAE will do for us.

X-doofaar,

Honestly no point responding to you because you are ignorant as fok. The thing that I can't get around my head is you spent almost all your life in a country where education is FREE and yet you can't comprehend how a road benefits the public.

On top of that you sold your faith and that of your own mother for few rocks and bottles. I expected most disbelievers to pursue higher education in an effort to find scientific answers to God. That's what most atheists do and they become brilliant brains.

But you are full of xaar, living in 1890 and forever talking about never coming "book". MF you too illiterate to write an essay or even a coherent reply on Snet let alone a book.

It's time to put the bottle down and get yourself into some adult education centre.

I honestly would recommend people to stone you with big Buddha rock. Useless MF.

The UAE is the West's most trusted and capable lackey in the Middle East. We must be cautious about these new developments, there are always ulterior motives to these 'deals'.

The UAE-Somaliland deal involves multiple parties, multiple authorities (Emirates, Dubai, SL, Sahil), multiple departments (foreign, transportation, planning, energy), phases and designed to achieve different objectives.

That is why the Gov is signing various contracts to bring different players into the fold.

The average person can comprehend that but autistic people like X-Doofaar need things in big bold writing. I feel bad for him.

DP signs with SL, signs with Ethiopia, SL and Ethiopia sign their own deals.
DP signs up contractors, the contractors in turn sign with SL gov on various levels (at national level, Sahil regional levels, Berbera authority levels, etc).

UAE signs its own sub-contractors for example the green energy company. The company then needs its own signature with SL to enter the country.

That's why so many deals are signed in different phases with different parties.

The airport involves different players whether investors, airliners, builders.
The corridor again is different because often airport builders are not highway builders and each requires different team to manage the contractors, construction, materials, costs, delivery, etc.

These multi-phased deals will bring many more players and many more deals will be signed both directly with UAE government, Dubai Government and independent contractors and sub-contractors, investors and financiers.

Common sense.

If the road is ever built there is no doubt it will deliver economic benefits.....to argue otherwise is silly.
However, if the Saudi's extend the livestock ban any economic progress will be wiped away. :)
