This lunatic makes an insane argumennt that a Somali state existed in the 16 century during the Islamic Vs Christian civil war in the horn. With borders extending from the two gulfs of Kambuni to Xafun ??? little does this buffoon knows that this cliche has nothing to do with SL , Somaliland has nothing to do with either of this much taunted Italian Somalia mantra.
.""In the first half of the 16th century, Somali clans were in an existential war with the Abyssinians to the west in defense of their territories under the leadership of the Somali leader Ahmed Gurey who managed to unite all the Somali clans under a single banner. The written records from that era, like “The Conquest of Abyssinia (Futuh Al-Habasa)”, clearly illustrate that Somalia, from Ras Hafun in the North to Ras Kamponi in the South formed a cohesive and united State
Of course such argument is childish and only a Daarood extremest would argue Somalis were a nation with border in the 16 century . Never mind somalis even his own Daarood wasn't a clan during these years , they were a collection of disparate clans bond by no Daaroodism myth as today.
He continues and makes this meaningless observation:
"More recently, the Darwiish movement that waged a liberation war against all the colonial powers in Somalia from 1895 until 1920 managed to establish a presence in all Somali territories from Medeshi in the North to Beledweyne in the South. The Taleh and Daawad forts along with many other forts bear testimony to that widespread reach."
How is that of any significant?? i don't really know.
"In the case of Northern and Southern Somalia, the British removed the demarcation line between the two areas when it managed to defeat the Italian fascists in Southern Somalia during the second World War. However, the Italians somehow sneaked back into Southern Somalia through a UN mandated trusteeship program to supposedly prepare the South for independence. This weakens the claims of the separatists in Northern Somalia who argue that there were two distinct and separate Somali enclaves to which the African agreement of preserving colonial borders apply. If colonial borders have legitimacy, then the separatists should accept the fact that the British did rule the North and the South as one county before the UN tasked the Italians with preparing the South for independence. The only reason Italy was chosen for this task was the prevalence of the past Italian influence in the South before independence: Italians owned large banana plantations and somehow convinced the UN of being the best nation to prepare Southern Somalia for independence."
Notice how throughout his argument he deliberately avoids calling somaliland by its official and historical name , and instead refer to it as Northern Somalia , a baseless phrase that has no historical , political or legal meaning. This level of dishonesty is a Daarood trade-mark and easily make their "allegedly logical" argument more of deliberate misinformation.
Her he alleges that the British ruled somaliland and italian somalia jointly!! which was never the case , he always conveniently omits the British ruled all somali territory after the war yet he doesn't claim NFD or Ogaden as part of his Italian Somalia , only Somaliland .

This Daarood charlatan using the British Queens declarations of Somaliland as an independent country on June 26 1960, ( bellow)

No. 42074
FRIDAY 24TH JUNE 1960
BY THE QUEEN
A PROCLAMATION
TERMINATING HER MAJESTEY’S PROTECTION OVER THE SOMALILAND PROTECTORATE
ELIZABETH R.
Whereas the territories in Africa known as the Somaliland Protectorate are under Our protection:
And whereas by treaty, grant, usage, sufferance and other lawful means We have power and jurisdiction in the Somaliland Protectorate:
And whereas it is intended that the Somaliland Protectorate shall become an independent country on the twenty-sixth day of June 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the appointed day"):
Now, therefore, We do hereby, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council, proclaim and declare that, as from the beginning of the appointed day, Our protection over the territories known as the Somaliland Protectorate shall cease, and all treaties and agreements in force immediately before the appointed day between Us or Our Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and any of the Tribes of the said territories, all Our obligations existing immediately before that day towards the said territories and all functions, powers, rights, authority or jurisdiction exercisable by Us immediately before that day in or in relation to the said territories by treaty, grant, usage, sufferance or otherwise, shall lapse.
Given at Our Court at Buckingham Palace this twenty third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixty, and in the ninth year of Our Reign.

Conveniently disregarding the first paragraph, he claimed the second paragraph makes a " distinction the British government made between subjects from clans in the Protectorate and the clans from non-Protectorate territories"
" A large part of the disputed territory is home to people whom the British colonial administrators did not include in the "Proclamation of Terminating Her Majesty's Protection Over the Somaliland Protectorate." London Gazette published on 24 June 1960 implicitly states the distinction the British government made between subjects from clans in the Protectorate and the clans from non-Protectorate territories:
"Now, therefore, We do hereby, by and with the advice of our Privy Council, proclaim and declare that, as from the beginning of the appointed day between Us or Our Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and any of the Tribes of the said territories, all Our obligations existing immediately before that day towards the said territories and all functions, powers, rights, authority or jurisdiction exercisable by Us immediately before that day in or in relation to the said territories by treaty, grant, usage, sufferance or otherwise, shall lapse.”
All the proclamation stated was that Somaliland from the appointed date hence forth shall be a independent country and all former British agreements are now all void. Howe does the ending of the tribal treaties are making disintegration for the Daaroods??? And how and when did only the Daaroods became "clans outside the protectorate"
This relentless propaganda campaign generally adheres to the two examples above , two more popular arguments these Daarood agents of misinformation use , one is the Daarood alleged "dervish government " and 2nd the fact that Dhulbahnate a landlocked sub clan was not part of the coastal protection treaties . Therefore in their own clan narrative they are not part of somaliland historically this legally colonial borders clause or legality doesn't apply to them.
First of all there was no such a thing as "dervish state" that was Daarood or that was none-Daarood , the Dervish a local terrorist sect had no fixed territory that they claimed , and had no single tribal composition , in fact few of the Dervish founders be it religious leaders , or mullahs were of the said Dhulbahnate tribe. As far as a territory , the dervish had one single recognized terrirtory between 1905-1909 and that was in modern Majeerteenia in parts of Bari and Nugaal and they were not independent , they were an Italian protectorate and that region has nothing to do with somaliland borders .
As far as the tribal protection treaties between 1884-1887 the Daarood can't claim that as a legal base proving their exlcusion from British Somaliland Protectorate leagll borders , for the simple reason that these treaties were confined only to the coast and has nothing todo with BSP, the adiministerations that resulted from these treaties had only coastal borders extending from Bulxaar to Laas Qori and had nothing to do with the interiror and its was called " The Somali Coast Protectorate" Not British Somaliland protectorate,. The former entity lasted from 1884-1897.
Beginning from 1888 , the British signed their first agreement forming the future British Somaliland protectorate .
1- The Anglo-French agreement , 1888. creating the border with French Somaliland. ( Making both Boorama and the west part of Somaliland , all Gedabursi and some of Ciise land part of somaliland).
2- The Anglo-Italian Protocol of 1894. ( Making Laas Caanood , Taleex and Laas Qori parts of somaliland. or all Daarood land in somaliland .)
3- The Anglo-Ethiopian treaty of 1897. ( making modern Hargaysa part of somaliland only then , Burco, Buihoodle)
The agreement that created somaliland borders were from 1888-1897, it has nothing to do with tribal treaties of the coast , not some daraawiish daarood fictitious bravado.
The noose is tied hard on Daarood butt , there is no legal way out of this nor selective historical narrative.
The irony is Isaaq territories with the exception of the coast only made it as part of British somaliland protectorate only in 1897 , while none Isaaq were bounded by border treaties long before Isaaq territories. What a divine justice for later hypocrites and revisionist.
