military strenght of UAE is non existent. Cambodia can beat up UAE if they want to. the whole gulf countries can't even win against a few houtis.

Somaliland is 50k-65k, and half of Somaliland budget goes defense.

If you compine different Somaliland armies they are no less than 40 thousand. No way.

70,000 soldiers if each earn $200 dollars a month their wage alone would be 168 million dollars a year.
of course I said over 150 mil that's annually and each soldier doesn't make $200 some only make $160-100.
70,000 estimate i got from family military members.

there is no way that somaliland has 70,000 standing army
even major countries don't have 70,000 soldiers. i would estimate 5 to 12 thousand maximum.
brazil whose population is over 200 million have an active army of 200 thousand.
lets be realistic those number floating around make no sense whatsoever

Yes and that excludes military expendetiture such as ammunition, fuel, maintenance, training, electricity, food and water etc
SL does probably have a large standing arming but 70,000 is wishful thinking, why would a peaceful region have need for such a large army, it does not add up and it definitely does not make sense for them to have that in the first place.
I would place there army at no more than 20,000, with at least 10,000 being reserve and and not paid, while 10,000 are active personnel getting paid most of which are acting police officers.

Dude you guys are slow the police force is around 10,000 to 15,000 the un did estimate on the police force the army is over 45,000-50000 if you don't believe just wait till general nuux taani announces the new estimates it was around 2011 when he said the army was around 40,000 he handed over power to general jadhif.
zoomalia army is around 12,000 dont mix up the two.
The defence budget is 38-50 percent of government budget so do the math.

somalia has 40,000 but this going to be changed by 2019 the army will be 18,000 to 20,000 with 4,000 special forces. so total of either 22,000 or 24,000
somalia wants a smaller but better paid/trained and equipped army by 2019.

We still receive my father's salaries since the late 90s and he died 20 years ago in the line of duty . Somaliland army pays "Agoon" and "naafo" allowances. I used to pay my school fees from my father's compensation money. So I it's not logic that the reserves are not paid . Every one one is paid.
