You still dont get it, the fact that we still label each other as our tribes in 2018 just shows how uncivilized we are. Honestly if it comes down to it and you secede then atleast we can say we tried but once that happens other states will be able to secede in the same way and Somalia might be no more. All Somalis as an ethnic group will be weakened economically, politically and socially. This occurs at the same time other massive countries are literally forming blocks of economies. Look at the number of ethnic groups and their respective populations in Africa Conpare that to the number of countries in Africa and you’ll understand how blessed we are to have our own country. And still own 25% of Ethiopia’s land even though we are 7% of the country. In Kenya we own the biggest land out of 6 ethnic groups and in Djibouti we Somalis own half the country. For an ethnic group we own the single most land I reckon. Our population doesn’t reflect our landmass. A bigger power can invade, displace and decimate the little ones which somalia will be if we dont get our shit together. The world population was around 2 billion in the WWII. Can you image what the Somali population was then?
In the 1800’s it was 1 Billion. So you can imagine our grandfathers were didn’t have the largest population. They were only a few hundred thousand and they took over that much land. I don’t think they knew how they blessed us by taking that trip alhamdulilah
