The legend that chased the fat mullah , arrested the Tuna sultan and captured the Dhabayaco sultan Keenadiid.

I came across recently of an article by ex- ambassador Cawil Faqash retelling his interview with Hawiye sultan and elders in the 1964 recounting the capture of Yuusuf Cali Keenadiid the Majeerteen chief in Hobyo and how Musa Farah conducted the operation and took the willy Majeerteen sultan to exile putting another Daarood cat in the bag , the Mullah been the first , and then the Warsangali sultan and finally Kenadid .

What is interesting about the memoir is that Cawil does both jobs , the oral somali part and the British archival sources, leaving no room for denial. First part Cawil meest with the sultan of the Duduble clan , Sultan Faarax Foodey and a Caaqil Cali Jimcaale " Madoobe", Caaqil Faarax Cabdi and Caaqil Geedi Farayare

After the oral history interview with the Hawiye notables about the capture and defeat of Keenadiid and liberation of Cee-Buur and Hobyo , Cawil turns in to the archives in Nairobi Mac-Millan library collection the operation is named "Twilight" and there the official operation planning and execution is detailed. Fantastic peice of bygone history.
