The Defense of Somali Disunity And The Tenuous Somaliwayn Logic!!!

Postby TheLoFather » Thu Feb 21, 2019 12:41 pm

"US policy toward Somalia is anchored in the idea that a unitary Somalia best stabilizes the country and enables it to secure its territory. This has been the assumption for generations of policymakers, but its logic is tenuous."

At least the Jew admits Somaliland based on a tribe.

"it is true that tribe rather than ethnicity separates Somaliland from the remainder of Somalia" Micheal Rubin.

Well, one tribe is the majority in Somaliland and minority groups are bound to the wishes of the dominant majority tribe.

It is not a new concept, its how it works in most countries.

Well we are not an ethnic minority like the kurds. We are Somali tribes that has nothing to do with zoomalia tribes in terms of administration.

Well Somaliland isn't a country, its a breakaway region that is part of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

It has no legitimacy to unilaterally secede from Somalia.

If the "majority" clan finds it necessary to breakaway then they should not base their claim on defunct former colonial borders.

They should seek independence based on their tribal territory.

Of course it is a country, dont be silly.

And no, the claim is based on the totality of the territory of the former protectorate. Minority groups can do little about it. The will of the majority will prevail. This was the case in 1960 when certain minority segments did not agree to form the union, they were ignored. Their views did not matter then, and they certainly will not matter today.

Even the mayor of Mogadishu knows this which is why he has forsaken your people to be ruled from Hargeisa despite your never ending brays.

We can Base our claim on what ever we can grab and maintain to rule. The question is do we control what we claim today ? the answer is yes and that's what matters. Do Somalia control what they claim? No. That's the difference.

There is no such thing as somaliweyn it died in 1991.
The walanweyn and faqash are not United and are the most divided.. Somaliland claim to statehood is as any on other country in Africa. If your hate colonial border go claim part of your xaarti territory in itooobiya. You cannot. The same way eastern sool is part of Somaliland whether you like it or not . You cannot change the borders if you don't like Somaliland you can always move dhulku maguuro dadka guuro. If you have hatred for Isaaq you can always move to garowe and live There.

I stopped arguing with the secessionists years ago when it became clear they were never going to achieve recognition in a million years.

It's similar to the fruitcakes you see in America claiming this or that state is independent. Or Rastafarians claiming Hallie Selassi is still alive somewhere.

They come out with the same variants of bullshit during the last 30 years.

Khalid was the most innovative......he even claimed north and south Somalis were two different races. :)
