Other than its planning wasn't done right, nothing impressive. Other cities/towns in the region are better.

I wasn't expecting a better comment from you

A city that was totally destroyed 3 decades ago. Looks amazing today. It needs some improvements though in roads but that's it. It has gone a long way. May Allah continue to bless us.

for a somali city it looks good, for a capital city it is very underdeveloped.

for example this is the capital of burundi which is the poorest country on earth.

Hargeisa was build by its people with minimum resources and international support. Mogadishu should have looked like adddis or Nairobi since they have all the aid and support and financial backing
Hargeisa looks pretty good now it only misses some decent inward roads. The skyline is getting higher gibe it another 3 years and it will be amazing

For a country that's poorer than SL, its capital has been well planned.

i was being kind to our friend Khalid by only comparing Hargeysa to the poorest country on earth (Burundi)

but Khalid made a valid point, Burundi is a recgnoised country while Somaliland is not. Therefore lets compare it to another country not recgonised like kosovo perhaps?

or even Taiwan?

Image

Khalid made another valid point he said hargeysa was destroyed an re-build by its people

but this was the capital of kosovo in 1990's bombed to smithereens

Nomand, I don't think it's fair to compare Taiwan, a high technologically advanced region with an average 104 IQ to SL. And while there's some basis of comparison to Kosovo, it isn't fair to compare a European region to a sub-Saharan region.

you are right, which is why i said as a somali city it looks good but as a capital city it is underdeveloped.
