One question though, why dont you guys build a port in eiyl, its closer to Laas Anod, Garowe and Galkacyo. I think if a port is built there it will be more uselfull than the one at Bosaso.

do you think Qabiil can build a port
a lot of somali qabiils tried before ,, it needs a lot of money,
$40m above,,, no less than that can build you a port.

all existing ports are build by foriegn help,,, not even former somali Gov.

This dude I went to university with who happens to be from the nugaal region was saying they are saving money for Eiyl. All the taxi drivers and working were collecting money, when they do it bosaso will be out of business walee.

For Eyl to be a functional port city it requires a shit load of money.


Port like Bosaso between 25 and 75 million dollars

Motor way connecting it to Garowe 100 million dollars


Where are somalis going to get that kind of money from, where there is no tax?

^^There should be taxed introduced in Puntland i.e. 10% of everyones salary, 25% of the profit businesses make and 30% of the profit large companies make (dahabshiil, amal, golis, STG etc).

In no time the government budget will boost up till atleast 100 million dollars.

With that money they can pave roads, build ports, airports, schools etc.
