Puntland is merely a state not a nation. Remember reer Bari Warsangelis will always be tied to PL one way or another. Same with Nugaal and Mudug. Its only politics in that region but since the Warsangelis of Sanaag want to move forward PL as a state has done little for that region. Its up to reer Sanaag but Ilka Jirs mission wont end considering he has the complete support of Sanaagians and Bari. Whether he wins or not change politically will occur in that region. Warsangelis of Somalia and the West are united now its only a matter of time till we think of going the independent route.

No currently Sanaag is considered a "disputed region" under PL. Maakhir State was declared to end the "dispute" since there was never a dispute between Warsangelis.

Maakhir State shouldnt be confused with Maakhir, no one in Sanaag really considereds themselves Sanaagian the call themselves Maakhiri. Its the name of the people of that region from the begining before SOmalia.


Ilka Jir and the Maakhirians acknowledge Maakhir State and their goals of completing the Port and more NGOs in Sanaag. This has yet to be accomplished under PL and is unlikely.

If Ilka Jir isnt elected it would be the best for Beesha.
