Addis Ababa, February 3, 2009 (Addis Ababa) - Prime Minister Meles Zenawi held talks here with the new President of the Somalia Federal Transitional Government (TFG).
During the talks, Prime Minister Meles said Ethiopia has accepted the Presidential election of Somalia in Djibouti.
Meles expressed his country's readiness to work with the new Federal Transitional Government of Somalia.
He also assured the president of Somalia that Ethiopia would extend support for the prevalence of peace and stability in Somalia.
The newly elected President on his part told Meles that the transitional government of Somalia is desirous to work with Ethiopia and other neighboring countries to ensure the interest of his country.
He further said Somalia together with Ethiopia and IGAD Member countries would work hard to ensure peace in the region.
This is the moment in which Somalia would further enhance its relations with Ethiopia, he added.
