I read about kids dying of diarrhea which easily could have been prevented in Xafuun not too long ago, is that considered miniscule? Is Puntland a happy status quo for You :o

Murax considering that kids dying of diarrhea is an every day occurrence in Gedo, this particular incident ( if it is true) would qualify as 'miniscule' in comparison

Gemini,
lesson learned

Even if its a everyday occurance in Gedo, and a 'some of the time' occurance in Puntland, it still doesn't change the fact that Your Country or 'entity' as You'd like to say Has some serious humanitarian, quality of life concerns. Maybe You need to venture out of dixon grove a little more walaal

Serena, from the get go my trip was to Kenya. That's where my dad is based and that is where I was supposed to visit him. Somalia was where I wanted to visit and in the end I couldn't go because it wasn't in his plans.

I like how Gemini erased everything after I commented.

All east africa isn't perfect...but when it comes to who is worse then the other...puntland is not the worse...the worst is the south, followed by sland, then puntland.....if u read the united nation living standards report that proves it...and also nutritional reports that proves it...and puntland is addressing it's health institutes thats all faroole has been doing this year...health, education, welfare...providing ground-breaking reforms that no somalis have...

For any somali to criticise puntland is out of the questions because we are doing better then them...sure if someone from morrocco criticizes us but not other somalis because the facts says otherwise...these ppl just need to visit ngos, undps, etc...do u know that puntland recieves 2% of the aid in somalia...that is factual stuff...if puntland was that bad why such less aid...

Thirdly puntland is being flooded by idps, u must know how bad this has affected the region. That is why farole is improving all social sectors to cope this influx which never existed before.

And as for gedo speaking...lol their the last to speak...

Bro,

When I'm telling You Puntland is literily uninhabitable, You're taking it as some sort of my tuulo is better than Your tuulo type crap. I'm very aware that Puntland Has a lot of things other parts of Somalia doesn't have. That doesn't change the fact however that the average 'Puntlander' has little to no access to healthcare, their kids are at risk of dying from the most preventable diseases, the average youth really doesn't have much of a shot at a education or a legitimate way to generate income and very weak underfinanced 'Government' institutions. Its not hate at all, but I'm just telling You whats real. I know people who went back to Pland/Sland etc. and were on highs before going, but then came back with very subdued thoughts, and also with a sense of urgency in realizing how bad Somalia needs a Government. I'm usually the 1st person to congratulate progress in Puntland or any other Soomali deegan, but it was only when I saw people getting carried away thinking Puntland is like a piece of paradise while a few miles down South is a piece of hell. The way I view it Puntland is a piece hell, but the South is way more a piece of hell due to the instability!

Murax if that was the case then international research experts are liars and you speak the truth. Is that what your saying?

Why does the u.n say puntland has best living standards of all somalis...are they lying? and you speak the truth soo ma ahaa..
http://www.internal-displacement.org/idmc/website/countries.nsf/(httpEnvelopes)/197C4AEA895C8349802570B8005AADBE?OpenDocument

If puntland has such a bad health system...why do puntland have welfare system for the poor...do you or any other somalis enjoy such priveledge?

And exactly who is puntland poor? are they natives..they cant be because united nations source i posted above says that puntland natives enjoy the best living standards. Marka why cant u find anything to support your theory with international research. Because if u search international research the poor people of puntland are idps not hartis..and also the coastal communities because of the illegal fishing that has occured to their livilihood.. Other then that zilch, nada...

Murax when u post information about puntland make sure their not idps...because puntland is not just majeerteen...ethios, idps, all darod...ethios and idps constitute 100 000 already...

So show me one source a native is doing economically bad from internationally respected organizations. sxb its undisputable puntlanders are richer then all somalis whether u like it or not. Naga ma lacag badnid..if puntland is poor then all other somalis are 50 times worse according to united nations...so whenever someone says puntland is poor to me...i just say back ur 50 times worse because the united nation says puntland is economically richer then other regions...so if puntlanders are doing tough, your in hell because u r ten times worse

Murax puntland has problems i don't deny that, but puntland is addressing the problems. What the hell is rayale doing about his poverty, tahribs, etc...nada they just ignore it and it becomes worse...puntland is addressing its poverty by allowing oil companies to produce oil..and secondly puntland poverty comes from ur fleeing southerners...marka we are dealing with u guys and giving u welfare...and secondly we are dealing with international ships stealing ppl jobs in the coastal towns...

But the bottom line is, you are not doing better then us...we may not be perfect...but u r alot worse then we are in economic terms, health terms, education terms...if u werent why are u fleeing to puntland for? do u see anyone fleeing to your gedo...wake up puntland is the future get behind it..

Somali is doomed so its people and let me correct you Siad Bare said when I leave, there would not be a country and people behind. It is perfectly as he predicted because you see how Somalia is devastated that once was beautiful and you see how people are suffering inside Somalia and outside Somalia. Those who hardly survived mostly descended in Europe or America where they became refugees launging on goverment handouts and living on govermental project housings so a bird is much better than us because it has own shelter built.

blame the former government for creating tensions and havoc between warring clans and finally provoking clans to form Groups to bring down the government

Nope we have to blame on ourselves by either risking ourselves to oust a weak regime or not being ideologic. I do strongly believe that we could handle the situation previously much in proper way during the goverment by confessing our bad deeds.

Ozman,

Puntalnd is always going to have 'idps' since people are trying to tahrib from Soomalia to Saudi and then to Europe. They could use Djibouti but Djibouti is much harder and a lot more expensive so they use Bossaso. Ofcourse these Guys have it 100x than the people of the actual deegan since they are destitute travellers going on limited means! However You seem to dispute the poverty in Puntland by saying 'They're richer than the rest of Soomalis'. Sxb I'm not even gonna argue with You on that because even if they are, it still makes Puntland poor as hell. If You're viewing this as Me taking the piss on Puntland by trying to take a dig at Majerteen, You're mistaken because I'm just calling things the way they are. On top of that in the civilized world I'm allowed to talk about Puntland, Somaliland or any other region until places become total soverign nations. As a Somali in the diaspora I reserve the right to talk about anywhere from Raskambooni to Ras Caseer, to Boorame.
