Bro, I agree with everything you wrote but the fact is you rendered the Omar Maxamud sub-clan to be uneducated and unfit for leadership. The truth is, each Maxamud Salebaan sub-clan and other clans will produce excellent leaders as the region progresses. To me, it doesn't matter who is at the helm as long as they implement their policies accordingly to the satisfaction of the people there. Faroole is doing that by the way. The people will be behind their leaders 100 percent regardless of their clan/sub-clan affiliation. We are one.

What criterion does one assess a good Puntland leader on, anyhow? And what constitues as a milestone in progress. Puntland's bound to grow, anyhow. And dont gimme that "betterment of the people of puntland" stuff. Its tooo wide of a term. Specifics, ppl. On a side note, tho": Would it be safe to say that we're giving up on expansion (for the moment ) and that its about maintaining the lines as that we have today, or do we want a leader who does both, at the cost of not doing neither?

Amestye, well the first thing that has to happen is their needs to be equality in the parliament. We shouldn't just make it a mj meeting place, we need to be leaders and incoporate all in fair manner. Doing injustice to ppl won't make u good leader but make u despised leader and will cause general instability for the region. So the parliament needs to be balanced out more. We need to stop dividing mjz into sub-clans and giving them seats. Waxaasi wa stupid!!!

The parliament will change because it will have parties in there. How will the parties be shaped? by qabil or policies? it will definitely have qabil parties. But their will be three major parties. I prefer 2 major parties. But they chosen to go ahead with the three method.

The parties need to based on policies, not qabil. They need to sell what they can do for puntland, not what they can do for their degaans. We need to get out of this small mind-frame of thinking of just our tuulos, we need to start thinking on terms of state.

This is not about my qabil wants to be better then yours, we shouldn't be acting like that inside our own house. Waxaasi wa laga fican yahay!!! when you are in your own house drop that qabil shit and start basing ur policies what u can do for all the ppl. For example 1 party might say they want to streghten security. While another party says they want to build more roads rather then streghten security.

It will depend on what region of puntland u settle, if u see u need more roads as key issue for u. U might for the party that promises that. However if it is security that is your problem in ur region, u might vote the guy who promised security improvements.

However we must get out of this mind-frame of supporting bad leaders just because they happen to come from ur lineage. Waxaasi wa wax laga fican yahay, niin ku bah dileyo wa khalad inaad amaantid. For example cade muse created karkaar region, u know why? so the osman mahmud don't share the resources allocated to bari among all the tribes that live there. If i was small minded person i would support cade on that, but that only benefits me and not the general ppl of the whole state. Marka thats why i condemn karkaar being formed, wa totally qabil politics.

Wa wax aad iyo aad laga yaabo, can't we forget what sub-clan we are and just stand for the state. We have enemies left, right and center and the last thing we need to do is look at what sub-clan we are. It is just a joke wallahi!!!
