Since Somalia Has no Gov, and no State ID's, a simple 'Warya yaad tahay' will suffice for Puntland now, lol.
Actually, its been put into a proposal that by 2012 the major cities in Puntland will have issued Id cards to the population, and entered them into an electronic data censor system. They have already secured the funding for this and are just waiting for the administrative side of things to pick up. The incentives according to the Minister I got to ask was that they'd step up on their game of welfare to the sick, elderly, and families that cannot afford to feed their kids, in return of having them get registered into the system. For the younger people, this would be issued through the education facilities, and the middle-aged all the businesses and self employed sending their employees to get a little bit of money back when paying taxes and such. Its not possible to have everyone registered, but once they have at least a majority, and they can continue this process, and it might just lead something worthwhile for the population.

Why is Puntland focusing on big projects such as Id cards and bullshidh when they can`t even secure Gaalkacyo  Faroole need too step up his game and do something about Gaalkacyo, I`m going there this summer and I don`t want too be blown in piece by a hand grenade.

Xamud, it's because we spend 90% of our money on Security that nothing else EVER gets done in Puntland, let alone in Gaalkacyo. If ur afraid of getting blown-up, dad badan who are actually forced to be there ayaad dhaanta in that you don't "need" to leave the comforts of your home out here in the west to go there. For the rest tho, we need to start thinking about moving from certain ways of keeping em' safe. This project is supposedly one of the measures used to curb the security concerns of invisible criminals who hide after shootings and stuff. In addition to identification uses for all Puntlanders over 15 years of age, the card would be used for election purposes when we begin moving to voting. Anyway, from what I hear its a separate funding that doesn't take away from the general budget of Ciidanka of the state either, nor meant to interfere in their list of priorities. Heck it isn't even a Faroole initiative, as it carried over from Cadde Muse's time of reign, and probably will well into the next presidency's. We'll see tho. :|

Sorry to disturb your party folks, but what has marxuum Siyaad Barre done for us reer puntland.
After slaughtering us for almost two decades, we get as compensation a two-lane highway with a med-size port.
Shuuke and Morgan should be ashamed of themselves. We deserve much better !!!!!!!

Sheekh Farax Zero,

You know waxaan la yaabay? MSB being the President must take responsibilty for all atrocities committed under His regime. However Him being the President at least He could have had the excuse of not knowing, everything that was happening in the remote corners of the Country. Riyaale however knew exactly what He was doing, and who He was doing it to (Issaq) and was still engaged in it. Now that Guy was excepted as a President and MSB is the devil? Does that make any sense?

Murax why are you hallunicating it has been explained before Riyaale was a little spy nothing compared to the afweyn or the Morgan, Gani who ran the country and ordered most of the action's and commited most of the crimes. riyaale was a little spy and has repented from the people of sland & has been forgiven , if you are trying to compare MSB who was incharge of the whole country with little spies like Riyaale then you must be out of your mind Quule boy.

It doesn't matter whether He was a little spy or not, bottom line is He was spying on Your folks and now He is Your President. I see You don't like to call a spade a spade.

what part of he was forgiven by the people of sland don't you get? in the 1990's all the clans in somaliland agreed to forgive each other in order to move on , that's why today somaliland is a shining star of peace.

Its the principle. The Jabhad that was fighting was SNM right? Why didn't they get the leadership?
