This is the optimal time for Diamond/emerald prospecting (seeking) aroung the mountains near that region. The rain polishes the dust and the soil from the precious rocks and you can just see their glitter.

There was this old woman from that area who brought several diamond rocks in Jabuuti. Her Diamonds were worth $300,000+

Guy I know asked her where she got them and she told them that there was this European guy who used to visit Qardho in the rainy season some 50 years ago. The guy used to go in the mountains in search of the precious rocks and often returned with few sackfull of the rocks on a camel.

She followed him in one of his trips and after realised what he was doing, she emparked on her quest.

Funny how there could be some diamonds in the open somewhere on the Bari mountains worth Millions of dollars.
