Actually President Faroole is a man with many dimensions. In my view he is a very capable politician. You only come to these positions if you are closely following the events in Somalia. His last meeting with the US ambassador in Nairobli was one of meeting that I would ask all of you to get the facts in that meeting. President Faroole has made it very clear that the US and other western countries' attempts of funneling money intended for Somalia to Ethiopia in the guise of fighting terrorism is too destructive for the people of Somalia and actually strengthening the groups that west is trying to eliminate or contain in Somalia.
In just one year and a half, all of the civil servants are fully paid and the security forces have been reformed and all of securitry forces are under the PL leadership.
He has brought all of the Islamists, traditional elders, and civil societies into his administration.
He has also brought any activities against Somali islamists and dissidents from Western Somalia/Ogadenia to a halt. This was a major agreement between Somali islamists in PL, traditional elders, and the PL leadership including the President.
Like it or not, President Faroole has accomplished a lot during the year and half in his presidency.
