Udun why do you have to pretend... bro you are translucent in character and that is a compliment if i have not refered to you as transparent.

Now who was she?

also how long will it take to import her to your location?

even more importantly does she have red-teeth?

:D

 Mabruuk brother

if she has a younger sister, hook me up i will make her one of my 4.
Stop pretending Cirwaaq to be a man. You can't fool Udun. I know you are a lady from the getgo I joined Somalinet and also know one of your other id that starts with g.....

No second wife if that is what you are alluding to. I had other reasons that I have visited back home and marrying again was not the option at this stage.

The characters that you mentioned, I take it as a compliment. Thanks.

Mabruuk to you sista Cirwaaq. Btw, you can write in Somali now even tough the last time we chatted you did mention that you can't write in Somali.

Yes brother. It was a short travel and I have only been there for two weeks. I have visited Hargeisa, Berbera, Gaalkacayo, Garowe, and these Sool districts and towns: Xudun, Awrboogays, Sarmaanyo, Godaalo, Tukaraq, Holhol and Dhubuq Dhubuq ( an small village).

The rainy season was very good and the pasture was very green.

The security was good in all of these cities and towns that I have visited and people were tending their business as ussual. I saw many refugees coming from Mogadishu and Galguduud and were heading towards Hargeisa and Boorama. I heard there is a good support system in Boorame for the Somali refugees coming from Mogadishu and other Central towns.

In PL, many of the IDPs from the South were welcome and they do work there and earn their living. Both Somali Bantu and Digil and Mirifle communities provide huge work force in PL and even work in all area of business including the government-run installations.

There were training for the TFG forces in Carma, Boosaaso and several batches of those troops were dispatched to Mogadishu. Jubba Airways cancelled our flight in order to fly these troops to Mogadishu. Those were the days when the biggest battles were taking place between HSHM on one side and TFG and AMISOM on other side.

On the political front in all of Somalia, there were a desire in all of Somali intellectuals that the country cannot remain in the status qou and a political dialogue should be sought with all of the political entities.

Charcoal trade was brought to an end in majority of the country and there were huge efforts to fully bring it to an end.

Somali Nomads were adapting farming also. Due to recurrent droughts, people have learned that they need to supplement their income with farming. In certain big cities like Hargeisa, Galkacayo and Erigavo, I was told they are self sufficient in some of the fruits and vegetable. I was also told Southern Somalia have reached almost food self sufficiency this year and next year due to the good rains and the encouragement from HSHM that they need to rely on themselves and put their faith in Allah.

There was huge debate about the benefits and adverse effects of piracy (some calls it volunteer coast guard). I have seen some group of pirates in Galkacayo who were driven out of Bosaso and Garoowe. According to the people that I talked to, due to the huge funds they recieved in their sea operations, some of the pirates live much beyond normal daily lives and cause death by not caring about the rest of the population and be snuppy about their activities. There were community backlash and many of the pirates were constantly on the move.

I was also told there are foreign agencies coming in Somalia and hiring hundreds of troops to conceal their activities. There was this Jewish guy who setup shop in the South side of Galkacayo (Baraxley) and he is running paramilitary groups. People say Hercules planes arrive and bring equipments and other supplies to him and he manages his activities from there. I was also told similar groups are also present in PL, SL, and Mogadishu.

In overall, things were good in the majority of the country with the exception of battle zones in Mogadishu and Dhuusa Mareeb area where the battles between HSHM and the TFG/AMISOM (Mogadishu) and HSHM and Ahlul-Sunna Wal-Jameeca (Dhuusa Mareeb) were taking place. It seemed that Somalis have woken up to political dialogue and Somali solutuion should be sought where all political entities are involved. This was the mood that I have gotten after talking to religious and political heavy weights.
