Puntland armed forces and its politicians are up to the task

Postby D-Runner » Fri Sep 02, 2011 4:05 pm

Walle Cabdullahi Yusuf was the man. Hate him or love him, but this man is someone to admire for the fairness within his autocracy. First I have never seen anyone accuse him of corruption, power-hungry yes, but never corruption. Also, the brunt of this guy's whip was always direct at Majerten. He easily brought in Warsangeli, Dhulbahante, and Layl Kase into Puntland and kept them relatively happy to be part of it. I have never seen any member of those groups accuse him of showing Majerten favoritism in Puntland and was dhexdhexaad between all. Then comes the corrupt Cadde Muuse and the even more corrupt Faroole, and all of a sudden there are daily wars against non-Majerten sub-clans and seemed to have turn Cabdullahi Yusuf's little baby (Puntland) into a club for Mohamud Saleban losing Las Canod to Somaliland and not even carrying (Yusuf would not have slept a night without getting it back), leading to multiple wars against Sanaag, and now the worst fighting Gaalkacyo has seen since Puntland's beginning.

How can Faroole possibly sit in Mogadishu during "shirka wadatashiga" soon and yap about Puntland while the foundations of the very existence of the state are eroding?
I see you still pissed at Farole for advising Farmajo to stay in his own “limited area.” You bet Farole will whip any condom thrown at the state back to their cubical which is exactly the reason we see brighter days with Farole. Sure, Abdullahi Yusuf deserves to be admired, being the first to take up arms against a brutal dictator would be one but it seems your admiring the man just so you can put down Farole; no you hater, the man has been busy empowering Puntland internally and strengthening its top-dog position in southern politics by playing hardball. As for the rest of your garbage, Atom, SSC, and the Shabab hiding in Galkayo’s neighborhood only represent their own destructive selfish agenda and they will be met with force. Puntland armed forces are up to the task and so are its politicians:

It’s been almost 14 years and Puntland is still going strong, trust me your prayers would be better off devoted to Gedo then for Puntland to erode.

D-Runner, the problem with you is the problem with all of Somalis; nin jaclaysi. We don't have strong system or strong insitutions so we almost always rely on whatever present personality is in the game to become our hero for all. Nin jaclaysi baa Somalida bohol ku riday tabtiina baad ku socotaa. Come back to me when you can love Puntland more than one man who has only a passing reference to the history of the land.

As for what Faroole is thought of by US intelligence, catch my topic
From Wikileaks cable, US government thinks that Faroole

-is destroying Puntland and put it in downward trajectory
-eroding the integrity of Puntland state institutions
-is "rigid" and counterproductive
-"good technocrat but bad politician"
-thinks of using the increase in violence to get more support without realizing US/world know violence is caused by clan and political tension caused by Faroole
-is largely the reason Al Shabaab has stepped up operations in Puntland

You yourself idolize Bare Hiiraale for his naked aggression in the past against Kablalax and you continue to presently pray for his return to pick up where he left off, and here you are accusing me of "nin jaclaysi." Sometimes I wonder if you even read half the things you write. I'm committed to still love Puntland even after Farole steps down, hopefully you too can bring yourself to shoot Hiiraale in the face for his past mishaps, the baggiest of which was his unholy alliance with Cayr.

As for the wikileaks cable, the US government has only its interest in mind for them to think so negatively of the men; who give's a fuck what the US government thinks when Farole:

-is a good technocrat and hell of a good politician when dealing with the TFG

-serious about leading a civilized administration

-is pushing for greater international support

-thinking to alienate clan and local leaders hiding the identities of Al Shabab members in their own sub-clan

-is largely the power behind Puntland’s refusal to re-engage TFG political condoms

p.s.: if you weren't so negative toward Puntland you too would have saw Farole's positive gains thus far, the latest of which was ensuring federalism to take root; with the condom used to block his path now gone I think all of Somalia witnessed today federalism taking root in the Somali capital:
